I was accepted towards the end of February and I just got my pizza box in the mail in the past few days.

Did anyone try to use the gym while they were at the first ASW?

Better than me, bro.
The did run us by the gym a couple times (it's directly across the street from Mercer, although there's also one further uptown), but nobody I knew tried to go in.

FYI, the gym on Mercer Street is pretty crappy. If you're thinking about checking out the NYU gym scene, I would head to the one on Union Square (Palladium) - it's much nicer. Although it is a bit of a trek from the law school (probably a 15 minute walk).

TLS CLS/NYU ASW #2 Survey

If you're attending either/both admitted students days this weekend
in Manhattan and might be interested in a TLS meet-up, please
fill out this quick survey. This is so last minute, but I figured there
might be interested people.

Any other RTK finalists RSVP'd to attend the BLAPA dinner? Any ideas on transportation/timing, since it looks like the "Afternoon Tea" for RTK finalists is from 5-6, and then the BLAPA dinner is at a different location at 6?

For anyone still waiting for aid, I just spoke to the Financial Aid office and they said they would probably have the second round of decisions available after the admitted student's weekend so sometime next week.

Has anyone had any luck getting an extension on the financial aid deadline?

I'll try emailing them then, thanks!

PS - I see you're attending both ASWs, maybe we'll meet! Kind of awkward how a lot of us have sort of "met" on TLS... I wonder who will be the first super cool nerd asking "so, like, what's your TLS username?"

PPS - If and when we do meet, I might have to ask you where the username "mcweanis" comes from. :)

Visited some classes at NYU today. It's pretty chill environment and there are some great places to eat in the direct vicinity (Mamoun's falafel was awesome). Not sure if I'm a big fan of the detachment from the rest of NYU's campus though

i LOVE mamoun's falafel!! not gonna lie, that's seriously a factor drawing me to NYU.

If you're still there, you should check out Think Coffee. There's also a wonderful (albeit pricey) brunch place a bit further down MacDougal called Camaje. Their crepes with goat cheese, egg, and mushroom = heaven.

That is going to be a damn gigantic meetup. We had 7 at the early NYU one, and two weren't even attendees.

Haha, I have no life. Also, NAMETAGS? Too much? Matching wristbands?

(I'm only partially kidding.)

Looking forward to meeting whoever I may meet at this ASW. I'm choosing meeting y'all over finishing the revisions of my brief. Feel special. :D

It worked really well. We met at the arch in Washington Square Park at noon. I might recommend meeting at like 11:30 to give slightly more time for lunch. But they did have some snacks at the very first panel, so whatever.

It looks like I'll only be able to make it to Friday at NYU. I'm sorry I won't get to participate in the Washington Square get-together.

I guess that's probably worse than sitting at "under final review" for over a month... :?

Yeah that's messed up. You've contacted them multiple times too, right?
