I submitted mine on the 13th and didn't get an email either.

If people start getting contacted on the 22nd, we'll all be hearing back really soon! I don't think there's a chance for me (considering all you 170+ LSAT folks out there!), but it would be so great to go to law school with a free ride.

I think you definitely have a chance. If you look at last year (http://gw.lawschoolnumbers.com/applican ... =3&type=jd) there were two people with 168/3.9x stats. Given your excellent GPA, you have a chance.

BUT, it is important to remember that they only hand out about 30 of these full scholarships each year. A full ride at GW is VERY competitive. I'm going with the assumption that I won't get it (probably safe) so that if I do, I will be VERY pleasantly surprised.

Last year and the year before all ED admits got calls/emails on December 22nd.

Last year is no guarantee for this year but the GW 2010 ED thread had people posting on the 22nd about getting emails.

Page 6 I think. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=94401&start=125

From what I've read on TLS, the ED deferrals, January RD admits are notified via snail mail. I've stalked this process way too much.

I don't think there's any reason to assume that if we don't hear on the 22nd we didn't get in ED.... They could just be on a different schedule this year, and might not have decisions ready until later this week or even January. Who knows.

From last year's applicants I heard that some were accepted RD right away, and others got rolled over and had to wait longer for a decision. It seems pretty up in the air.

Before I get the ED decision, can I still withdraw my application?

They might let you, but after signing the contract you're committed...so if you're borderline, I'm sure they won't mind releasing you.

3.98/165, Is this considered as borderline?

By not going to happen, do you mean I will not be released or I will not be admitted by ED?

I'm guessing he meant not admitted. ED at GW is very selective because it is a full-ride scholarship. They seem to use it as an opportunity to drive their medians up.

linda,
you will not be admitted ED, with a minor chance of a small scholarship RD. check LSN for last year. There are some better chances for you ED like UVA if you wanted to try again next year.

Oh, thank God!
I heard from someone last year, they only admitted 8 out of 900 ED applicants. I guess I won't have a good chance against the odds.
