Any non-URM, 165 semi-reverse splitters have a success story to share yet?

I'm in at Vandy with scholarship and on wait lists for the lower half of the T-14. Success?refusetolose wrote:Any non-URM, 165 semi-reverse splitters have a success story to share yet?

I guess I meant T14 acceptances, though Vandy is definitely a success. Starting in May I think the 165ers will start to see some acceptances.Flips88 wrote:I'm in at Vandy with scholarship and on wait lists for the lower half of the T-14. Re: Calling All Semi-Reverse Splitters
Here's my latest update--
166, 3.9, non-URM, out of school with a few years work experience
Accepted: Stanford, UVA, Vanderbilt ($$), UT Austin, William and Mary ($$), Emory ($$), Georgia ($$), Washington and Lee ($$), CU Boulder ($$)
Waitlisted: Berkeley, Duke (I hate their basketball team, anyway)
Waiting on: Harvard
This thread has been so reassuring-- everyone has had such amazing cycles and being able to read about everyone's success really helped me in my dark, panicky, re-set the status checker every 13 seconds moments (there were a lot of those).
By the way, is anyone else just kind of annoyed at how long the Harvard process is taking at this point? I only say this because I'm positive I'll be rejected, anyway, but it just seems like it's taking them an obscene amount of time to respond to people, even relative to others schools who get comparable application numbers. Obviously it's best for them to take their time and make the best choice, but I feel like holding people in April is just ridiculous (I got held back in early February, luckily, but can only imagine the total emotional meltdown that getting held on April 5 would cause). Sorry if that belongs in another thread, but I was curious since I know a few people in here are also still waiting.

No offense and this is a reaction of pure jealousy, but what the hell kind of softs got you into Stanford?TheGreatWait wrote:Here's my latest update--

Re: Calling All Semi-Reverse Splitters
Ha, no offense taken. I am fully aware that it was my softs that made the difference. I have some pretty unusual work experience (not in the legal field) that I think set my app apart, and because of that I have a really focused idea of how I would like to use my law degree. That is mostly speculation on my part, but I think that's what did it.Flips88 wrote:No offense and this is a reaction of pure jealousy, but what the hell kind of softs got you into Stanford?TheGreatWait wrote:Here's my latest update--

3.8/167
in: Texas, Cornell
WL: Mich, Columbia
out: Harvad, Berkeley
should've applied a little more widely, but I got money at Texas and Cornell so I'm not too sad.
