You would have to fight traffic over the Westover bridge as well as the full length of Beechurst. I wouldn't think it would be worth it unless you found a truly great deal. That part of town isn't overly student friendly either.

I didn't even think about the attitude towards students. It's also hard for me to drop my suburban/city mentality when it comes to distance and traffic. I couldn't imagine how bad the narrow 2 lane roads get when there are thousands of cars out.

On a side note how does Morgantown deal with snow? Are the roads cleared enough to get through even if at a slow pace? I can only imagine it being difficult getting up Law School Dr after a few inches fall.

Around the main campus, beechurst, and university are all normally kept pretty clear. Sidewalks are always going to be ice. The rest of the town depends on how fast the snow came down and voodoo.

Snow is not fun in Morgantown. It doesn't get terrible snow too often, therefore they are never totally prepared when it does come. Also, as for the traffic situation, another problem to consider is that there is ALWAYS some type of road work going on downtown, and if you have to travel from Westover, you'd have to deal with that everyday. In all seriousness, I would try to get as close to the school as possible in attempt to avoid the various road problems.
Good luck, Dayman.

Can anyone refer me to the top 5 properties to rent from for law students?

I withdrew today. It came down to the cost of attendance for o.o.s. students was more than I was willing to borrow. I know I'm going to miss out on some good football and basketball games. Good luck to you guys.

Just bought my beater for this coming year. 2001 Dodge Durango. Fully loaded with full time AWD and available 4HI/LO. I think I'll keep my car out there until Thanksgiving or so and then come home and change cars.

When does the snow actually start to fall, usually?

Don't usually get too much snow, but when it happens...all hell breaks loose. You will be fine until Thanksgiving. I wouldn't expect snow until late December.

The hills can be tricky. I live on top of one and had to go down to the bottum to pick up the wife a couple times this past winter. I'm sure your new truck will handle it without a problem though.

Hopefully! Student loan money well spent.

Registration is open for classes. Civil procedure was the only class that didn't have a section.

Where did you find this? I checked Mix and the WVU class of 2014 site and got nothing.

Just ordered parking permit, went with lot 76 (costs ~$100 less). Ordered it directly through WVU transportation online; didn't have the patience to wait for the application to be mailed.

Don't you have to have a Master ID in order to get a pass through the site?

How did you get your Master ID? When I tried to request it, it said it wouldn't be activated until I had registered for classes

Figured out how to register for classes, though not all 1L classes were listed (Not Con Law 1 and something else). I know I'll have to go back and sign up for whatever I am assigned. However I just wanted to get familiar with Star and how to navigate through everything.

Ahh. I figured out what he was talking about, but I'm not going to register for anything until I know what I'm supposed to. With the luck I've had this summer, it will really screw me up when I try to register for.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
