Guessed you from the start. balkibartakamoose=lawmantwo=troll. Toolbag. Get out of here and learn some spelling and grammar.

edit: Ok, I'll take it back and apologize to lawmantwo. Rest remains the same.

this isn't about trolling or whatever. I just want to know why you guys think it makes sense. I didn't think about it before I made the decision to go to law school...are you all the same?

It's a totally fair question. I think for most people, law school doesn't make a lot of economic sense, once you run a cost/benefit analysis, unless it's a T-14.

But obviously the less law school costs in relationship to the alternatives, the more it makes sense. But that's an individual calculus that (I agree with you) far too few people do.

I am almost finished with law school and it's embarassing to say but this is really the first time I'm thinking about it financially. 3 years of lost income to go to law school. even at a 50% scholarship, you have about 75k in debt. And people at the top of the class are looking for jobs that pay 60k and most people dont have anything and will be volunteer attys in hopes of securing something that pays 40k...this is the truth.

75k in debt with a job that pays 60k? I really don't see that as worrisome or problematic at all. I know you're saying people AT THE TOP are looking for those jobs, but if I was 95k in the hole (including UG) and made 60k the first year, I would not be miserable with my situation.
*This is, of course, taking raises into account

1) Trolling admissions threads and arguing about whether attending a school is worth it here gets you banned.

2) That kind of vulgar response gets you banned too.

Both posters get long timeouts. This matter dies right now. Anyone else who posts about either subject in this thread gets banned also. This is your only warning.

Does anyone think that switching from SCALE to just full time would speed up the application process? Because that last post about SCALE really made me rethink my choice.

For those of us not trying to come out working 80 hours a week doing document review to make that $160k, I think SW will be just fine.

Hard to say because we haven't heard anything back either. I would think with the interviews, etc SCALE would take a little longer, but at this point there's no difference.

I warned that anyone who continued arguing about whether attending was a good idea in this thread would be banned. This user didn't listen, so he's on timeout too. (Ironically I noticed his response because he also flagged the earlier post I responded to. Don't flag and argue at the same time.)

Seriously, stop arguing about this here. This is the admissions forum, not the should-I-attend/is-this-school-any-good forum. Further responses on this yield further bans.

when i talked to the student worker at admissions they said that acceptances for pt and ft have gone out...but i as far as i have heard from people and sites i only see ft people getting acceptances, and pretty much only people with higher than their average lsats too...i hope they start sending out some pt acceptances and acceptances for people who don't have above their average.

Interesting because it seems like only a very few FT acceptances have gone out, too. Maybe we should be hearing soon? Or maybe I'm just gonna get dinged and they're waiting on sending those out.

its hard to say...if you look at law school numbers only like 5 people have gotten acceptances out of the 60 listed...and they usually receive about 2000 or 3000 apps...so law school numbers really only depicts a small percentage of applicants...it could be a bunch of people who have heard but don't log onto lawschoolnumbers

i think your right about the majority not going out though...thats my feeling as well...and i heard they have an admitted student luncheon in two weeks! man i hope i hear soon!

Yes, I wrote them last week, here is what they wrote back:

"We are aware of the online status looking blank on your end. There is a glitch in our system that is being worked on. This does not affect your status or review process."

Nothing yet, still in review since 1/7. No new emails, no date changes, no new updates on the deposits.
