Re: Louisville 2010 Applicants
Does anyone know anything about parking near the law building once school starts? Is there lots of free parking? Can you secure a reserved spot with an annual payment? Thanks!

actually parking at u of l can sometimes be tricky. anyone with more than 90 credit hours or law/grad students can buy a green permit and you can park in the green areas on this map --LinkRemoved-- the cost of the permits are here --LinkRemoved--Amir N wrote:Does anyone know anything about parking near the law building once school starts? you can also get a purple permit to park at the stadium. there is a free shuttle bus that runs from the stadium to campus. I'm actually not sure if green permits can park at the stadium, too. there are green lots within a 5-10 minute walk of the law school, but they can sometimes fill up quickly depending on the time of day.

That's good to know! I know this question was asked before (without response!) but did anyone go to ASD this past weekend?

I did, but I couldn't stay the whole time. I don't have anything especially exciting to report, the first session one of the deans just went over the curriculum, then following that there were sessions on the academic success program (where all 1Ls are assigned a study group led by an upper level student) and career services. After that I left but I know there was a student panel, too. If you have any specific questions let me know.

Oh, no I was there. I was just wondering if anyone there was also on here
We may have been in the same Career Services session? I went to the second session.

Re: Louisville 2010 Applicants
I currently go to Louisville for undergrad. I'm a 161/3.99 and was admitted to the law school. However, after my letter of admission, I never received an admissions packet or even got a scholarship offer at all which really surprised me. I wasn't planning on going to Louisville, I decided to not even stay in state, but I just thought it was weird that I'm on a full-ride here for undergrad and got a half-tuition scholarship offer from UK, but nothing from the school I currently attend. So, hopefully one of you waiting can have my spot.

Re: Louisville 2010 Applicants
You're lucky you weren't flat-out denied since Louisville is pretty adamant about only accepting people who want to go here. I had to write a letter and my stats were roughly equivalent to yours (higher LSAT, lower gpa); the reason was because they didn't think I seriously wanted to be at Louisville. Basically they want to be an applicant's first choice, primarily because 1,000 others are trying to get in. Your stats are good, but so are many others who don't even get accepted if the admissions office can pretty much tell they aren't seriously considering Louisville. Congrats on the scholarship from UK.legallyb wrote:I currently go to Louisville for undergrad. I'm a 161/3.99 and was admitted to the law school. Re: Louisville 2010 Applicants
Well, I had some good softs while here at U of L and three good LORs. I think that helped a lot. I was just kind of surprised because the process seemed kind of disorganized. I didn't receive an admissions packet (like my admissions email said I would) and still hadn't by the time I withdrew my application over a month later. I decided to go out of state by the way, but thanks for the congratulations. I got a really good scholarship offer at a school up northeast And am on three wait-lists that I would love to move off of!!! And, it would have sucked to have been denied. I applied to fifteen schools this cycle and was only denied by Duke. But, it's okay to me though because NC is worse than Kentucky! Haha.

I've been thinking about applying to Louisville, but I'm not sure if I'll get any scholarships there. I'll graduate in December probably with a 2.97 gpa and a 166 LSAT. Think I'll have any problems?

Sent in my tuition deposit earlier this week. I'm actually retaking the LSAT this June (fee waiver) to get a higher score and get some more scholarship money.

I never knew admitted students had such an option. I would actually be interested in doing that, especially with a fee waiver.Neidermeyer519 wrote:Sent in my tuition deposit earlier this week. Admitted friday, I'll most likely be joining you all. I went to UofL for undergrad and can answer any questions about the city/school. GO CARDS!

Can anyone elaborate on the Summer Enrichment Program? Is this an invitation only event or can we request to join?

I'm living in The Province with my gf. Expensive, but nice. And only a 5 minute walk to the law school
