Just got my letter. Also got the fellowship reducing my tuition to the in-state tuition (valued at 36k +).Amir N wrote:Merit scholarships are on there way--I talked to admissions today and they said they were just sent out.

When did you hear about the Feb 7 hold? I'm on the 3/7 hold. But I have a friend who got in on the March hold last year, so I'm still hopeful.Rgall2 wrote:Admitted today after being placed on the "Feb 7 Hold."

160, 3.0 OOS and I'm praying for some kind of scholarship. I know it's unlikely, but even 5-7K/year would probably seal the deal for me with UK. Anybody know if they send out more batches of scholarships other than the one last week? Also, has anybody had any luck contacting admissions and saying that you can only attend with a little scholarship money?

167/3.4 , got the tuition equalizer. Not bad but I am withdrawing from UK.

Your decision status says wait list? Or did you get an email. How did you find out?amg131s wrote:i just got another 'status letter mailed 2/7' status updates. it's a wl this time. i thought i'd be a lock at kentucky. oh well...
I was on the 2/7 hold. My status once again says status letter mailed and file under review (2/7).... No emails. I am hoping this is not them placing me on another holding pattern.

Anybody know how difficult it is to gain resident status in Kentucky?

So today I checked the online status checker and it said, "File Pending for Decision" and under current status date it says 2/14/11. Rejection?

Re: Kentucky c/o 2014
Not necessarily. My status did the same thing and I got a decision (acceptance) on the day listed. I don't think you can get anything from that except that youre decision should be on its way next week.directpaper wrote:So today I checked the online status checker and it said, "File Pending for Decision" and under current status date it says 2/14/11. That is very comforting! Thank you! I am hoping it will come sooner. This has been the most drawn out process...I just would like to know where I am going to be, if anywhere!

Re: Kentucky c/o 2014
Could be a decision or a hold. Mine ended up being a hold. Check to see if they mail a "status letter" on 2/14. That's a hold, and a Decision Letter is, of course, obvious.directpaper wrote:So today I checked the online status checker and it said, "File Pending for Decision" and under current status date it says 2/14/11. Yeah I didn't mean to imply that you would get a concrete decision on that date. You could also get a waitlist/hold. Good luck!

In at UK on 1/24, got my scholly info this week: difference between OOS and in state.
Does UK have an ASW? Or does anyone know if they will give a stipend for travel expenses for a visit?

you have to have lived in KY for more than 12 months before you enroll in school. you also have to prove you didn't move to KY just to enroll in school.undecided11 wrote:Anybody know how difficult it is to gain resident status in Kentucky?

So...My file is currently "Pending for Decision" and the date reads 2/14/11. Today I received a "UK LAW INVITES YOU..." flyer and a second viewbook. The werid thing is that I got a viewbook and an application fee waiver in the mail at the beginning of January. Anyone else have this happen?

Got a Valentine from UK Law today. Surprised since I am pretty sure I annoyed the admissions dept. (not like in a persistent "I love this school" way although its a good school) and LSAT is less than 25th percentile. Nice to be in though!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
