Got my "3rd Review Letter" today. Grrr... This is my number one choice. I've sent them everything I can think of other than my liver... I don't guess sending that would help any LOL.

My application has been placed on hold as well. I have to admit I am a little surprised that I was not automatically rejected. My GPA and my LSAT score are below the medians. What are something things those of you have been placed on hold have sent in? Any stories about being placed on hold and then accepted?

accepted with the scholarship that matches in state tuition..
oddly, KY wasn't one of my first choices but I have really been impressed with them so far. They are in my top 3 or 4 now and will likely visit soon and either move then to 1/2 or withdrawal depending on that visit.

Great news today; received an in-state tuition diversity scholarship for all 3 years, provided I maintain good academic standing !

Better news - you're still eligible for other scholarships on top of the fellowship as well!
I called today to check that (at the risk of sounding greedy and/or ungrateful) and was told that other scholarships are still on the table if you received a fellowship and that they'd be deciding those within the next couple of weeks .

There is a 99% chance I will be attending UK this fall...now, how old are the facilities again? I'm from the University of Florida and facilities here are top notch. I'm not saying I expect the same from UK or anything like that but how much should I be expected to adjust? Is there at least AC in the building? Can I spend hours studying in the library?
Well soon to be fellow wildcats I appreciate any input you might have for me...or photos lol.

The facilities are the biggest downside according to most people. I've spent a good bit of time at UK and I love the campus and Lexington so I can overlook the law school building. Barring a surprise last minute acceptance, I'll be at UK as well (OOS with IS tuition) and I'm lookin forward to it.gator1 wrote:There is a 99% chance I will be attending UK this fall...now, how old are the facilities again? Sorry, no pictures but I've been in the building years ago. It's your typical classroom building that probably wasn't a very nice facility when it was originally built in the 60's or 70's. The building serves its purpose and its not like mold is growing in the corners, but it's not a very aesthetically pleasing building for sure. The quality of the building is only going to affect your law school experience if fancy modern architecture is important to you.gator1 wrote:honestly, im going to study law not interior design lol but still...does anyone have any actual photos inside the building? anything at all?

Not at all it's just that everywhere I look people are being so dramatic about the building that I just had to ask. Considering this is the place where I will, most likely, be spending hours upon hours studying I'd like to, at leas,t have decent lighting lol I hope that's not too much to ask...

Re: Kentucky c/o 2014
I didn't mean for that to come off the wrong way. Sorry if it did. At some schools, like South Carolina, the quality of the building really does have an effect on the education. Their building is literally falling apart, lockers and electronics dont work, and the AC doesnt work in the SC heat. At UK, the building is pretty bad but it doesnt seem to be a situation like at SC, where it's actually going to affect the education you receive.gator1 wrote:Not at all it's just that everywhere I look people are being so dramatic about the building that I just had to ask. Now that's a bad situation. I'm pretty much sold on UK so no biggie, even if the building is falling apart WILDCAT all the way!

Well, I'm File Pending for Decision (3/7) again. But last time, the "decision" was a hold. At least it said Status Letter Mailed for the hold. I hope it's a Decision Letter this time!

Has anyone heard an update about the new building? I know they had been advertising it at one point and it just seems like people have stopped talking about it. Is the project dead? Are they still hoping to build in the near future?

They are, but the legislature has to approve the expenditure, so don't make the new building the reason you come here.jeff5170 wrote:Has anyone heard an update about the new building? Uhhh...someone's trolling you. That might be the case at South Carolina but the AC is fully functional...and even though it is Kentucky they've stepped up from outhouses.whiteswan wrote:but how bad is it? are the rumors true that there is not even AC available or restrooms?

I'm DR after the File Pending for Decision on Friday. But it doesn't say what the decision is.

I am in the same situation. Hopefully no email doesn't mean rejection or waitlist. UK is my first choice.Kinderby wrote:I'm DR after the File Pending for Decision on Friday. But it doesn't say what the decision is.
