Syracuse 2011 applicants
Havent seen this thread yet, so I've decided to start one.
Just submitted my syracuse application today. Wanted to submit it last week, but had trouble with the financial aid portion of the application. Feel free to post as you wish!

Re: Syracuse 2011 applicants
I submitted mine about two weeks ago. They told me they don't start sending out decisions until January

Just got an email from Syracuse regarding financial aid info. I hope this is a good sign.

Re: Syracuse 2011 applicants
I got that email a while ago. I've only gotten 2 other emails: one that the application is complete, and the second telling me that its nbeing sent to the committee. No idea about anything else.

Yea, I feel like the adcomms are slower in general this year. It seems like, according to LSN, decisions were being made much earlier at many schools than this year. Maybe it's an increase in applicants.

I just signed up for mySlice today and noticed on the page there was an "Application Acceptance Form". Does anyone else have this? The form was blank and I figured this is just the standard format of the site. Just checking.

Re: Syracuse 2011 applicants
Edited because: I just called SU financial aide. about the my slice tax info. As long as you tell them that you will be forwarding your signed copy of your 2010 tax return, you will be okay ( you need to send them your 2009 tax info by 2/15). If you are under 30 you need to forward to them your parents tax info for either 2009 or 2010. When you send in the applicaiton, you need to indicate that you will be forwarding the tax info, however.
Fasfa needs to be done by 2/15 for syracuse, or else you cannot get aide from them. The lady on the phone was very nice, and told me that they take a while to make award decisions, and try to send the award decisions along with acceptance, or soon after. Maybe thats why no one has heard back from cuse law

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Will be submitting 2/1. Also, admissions' office told me this week that some decisions are currently being mailed out. Fingers crossed.

Does this school give scholarships? If so, what numbers would be needed for say, a half scholarship?

Re: Syracuse 2011 applicants
LSAT clincher- the school does give out merit based scholarships, grants, and need based money. You have to write 2 more essays to be considerded for the scholarships, provide financial information from you and if you are under 30 your parents. They are really nice and understanding about it ( especially since the time you have to get everything in is right when you are getting your tax stuff in and ready to do taxes). The nice thing about all of this, is that my taxes are going to be done really early this year!

Re: Syracuse 2011 applicants
I checked my student mailbox today at school and it was waiting in the packages area because it was too big to fit on my little mailbox that I have. Not sure when it came into my mailbox though haven't checked my mail in a couple days. FWIW the post office wrote "1/17" on the envelope. The date on the top of the acceptance letter is 1/13j88 wrote:When did you get it? I didn't think there was mail service today because of the MLK holidayIceman389 wrote:USPS Priority Mail.
