I wanted to thank you for opting on to the Illinois Wait List and provide you with a little more information. This email serves to confirm your status and your online status checker will change as well.
I am sure that every school you have applied to conducts their file review a little differently than the next. At Illinois once a candidate has opted on to the Wait List there will not be a further review until I determine that more offers should be made. At that point in time I will review all applicants on the Wait List and make additional offers. Those not selected will remain on the Wait List. Your online status will not change during this process.
At this point in time we do not require any additional information or a letter of continued interest. You are always welcome to submit additional, relevant information and you may do so by emailing it to firstname.lastname@example.org
or mailing a hard copy to the College. Any transcript updates should be sent to LSAC and we will be notified automatically.
Due to the fluidity of the Wait List it doesn’t help to provide you with the number of people on the Wait List or any other demographic information. I am able to say that I strive to keep the Wait List small and I only ask people if they wish for a place on the list if I believe they have a legitimate chance at being admitted during this cycle.
I will be sending out regular updates to you and let you know how our cycle is progressing. I apologize that I can’t provide any more information than that at this time.
If at any point you wish to be removed from our Wait List and have your file withdrawn from further consideration, please let me know.
I appreciate your interest in Illinois and your patience with our process.
