I got in ED some weeks ago and did write it. I would do it, if you really want to attend. It's only 200 words and it couldn't hurt.scruffs mcguff wrote:I'm sure not everyone that got in wrote it, but, as always, it couldn't hurt. I did write it though.iwanta170 wrote:Congrats everyone! I'm happy for you guys. Just wondering, did everyone who got in write the optional Why Illinois essay?

Re: Illinois 2011 applicants!
Dinged at Illinois. I'm actually surprised I didn't even get waitlisted.
Also, somewhat upsetting as I have a 4.0, 166...Got into Iowa the other day which is nice, but still hoping this isn't indicative of a bad cycle. Also hoping I can get some scholarship at a decent school (something similar to Iowa).
Regardless, rejection never feels good. Good luck to everyone else.

Mine says File Complete - Under Review 12/10Jen Loblaw wrote:For those of you who are up for a decision next Friday, does your status checker say Under Review yet? I went complete 11/15 although it now says 11/19, and mine doesn't say UR. I really hope I'm in the next batch tho!

My wife is applying to Illinois as her top school...if she gets in or gets her govt job in Chicago I will have to follow...and that would not be a bad decision to have to make. I wont, however, have that chance because I dont have a snowball's chance in hell of getting accepted.
I'll cya at ASW

I was curious. How long does it take from when your status goes from "Complete--Ready for Review" to actually being under review?

Dean Pless has a good timeline in his thread. There will be a decision on those who were "Complete" by 11/19 next Friday. And then the next group will be Jan 7th I do believe.onepass wrote:Congrats everyone!

Re: Illinois 2011 applicants!
Thanks! I finally went complete today after being LSAC complete for the past few weeks! I guess, I have a fair bit of time left to wait. At least Christmas will be a nice distraction!Spinozist21 wrote:Dean Pless has a good timeline in his thread. There will be a decision on those who were "Complete" by 11/19 next Friday.
