A splitter is someone who generally has a low GPA, below the 25th percentile or in the "twos," and a high LSAT score, usually above the 75th percentile (if I'm correct) or vice versa. It usually has to do with a high LSAT score though. A URM is an under-represented minority.

I'm in at Stetson!

Should give hope to those with low GPA and LSAT -- you really don't know until you try!

154,3.03, not a URM.

That is awesome!! Congratulations! Were you on the waitlist? Did you have crazy softs? It gives me hope as I am sub-3 GPA and 156 LSAT.

No waitlist, just accepted me straight out. I even applied late too (March 1st). I do have some pretty strong softs but nothing too crazy. I think the year of work after college helped but thats just a speculation.

The status checker changed to "decision made" on 3/24. I got the email morning of 3/25.

Good Luck!

Like I said, I'm sunk with a 146. I'm just waiting to get the official rejection and get accepted somewhere else so I can officially register for the June LSAT. If I raised my score nine points, I can surely raise it to a 152/153 in June. Petition will only work, though, if Stetson still has seats. I might be better off waiting a year after that than going to a shithole Tier 4. Dunno.

Still no scholarship money. I feel like Stetson doesn't know that I'm serious about attending and I don't know how to make it clear.

I went complete last week, so I'm assuming I am waiting a bit longer. My stats are similar to yours though, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed (I applied PT).

Congrats again!

@lawbound11 -- did you get any feedback yet?

My fiancee wants me to go to Stetson. She wants to go to USF and get an MBA where she can get cheap instate, plus start a business down there. She likes the beach.

She says her skin is too sensitive for the dry mountain air.

I do whatever she says pretty much.

I got dinged with a 146/3.37. Word of advice- not that it applies to any of you, don't apply to Stetson with less than a 153 LSAT. Complete fucking waste of time. They are uber competitive this year. I have to take the June LSAT and petition, but they definitely want 153's at a minimum.

The 25% for PT is 152. I think having at least a 153 is close to the floor at Stetson and not necessary a reflection of an "uber competitive" year.

154 LSAT minimum this year according to lawschoolnumbers.com profiles.

I submitted my app three weeks ago, and it went to review status last Tuesday. And, yes, I think evidence does support a particularly competitive admissions process at Stetson this year, at least according to Blackstone, Law School Numbers, and TLS stats. That wouldn't help me with a 146 anyway; I'm not going to bitch about it. I'm going to take my lumps and think about how best to approach the situation from here.

I'm not going to be one of these people who wallows in defeat. I did not secure the necessary LSAT score; I can cry about it and nothing will happen in my favor, or I can grow some hootspah, study my ass off for the June LSAT, and try to pull a backdoor summer miracle.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
