Guess i might be choosing between just santa clara and san diego now.
i was afraid of this. i think they're sending out waitlists now to us "borderline" candidates, although judging from your numbers in your profile, you should have been an admit. waitlists were being sent out last year right around this time according to LSN.
write an LOCI if you really want Loyola!

Is there an admitted students portal we can check/log into before the decision arrives in the mail?
Thanks!

Only thing I could find. Not sure how helpful that is. I tried logging in with random stuff, nothing seemed to work... Or it didn't exist 'cause I was most likely waitlisted

I looked at that too; once one waitlist started they began sending them out. I was just hoping that they'd hit a number, rather than a date, before waitlisting. Had that been the case I feel like I, at least, would have had been early enough to better my shot at squeezing into an admit pile rather than being waitlisted. Guess I'll see in the next few days.

Are you kidding? So if your page says decision made, it could quite possibly be WL?
That's like a non-decision

You guys got me so nervous about the waitlist starting up. I am a bigtime reverse-splitter too and have been waitlisted at 4 schools in the top 20-40 range. My app was sent in on 1/7 has been complete since 1/28 and I got the "decision rendered" notification yesterday. I live close to Loyola so I'm expecting to find out if I got in tomorrow. Best of luck to you all and I'll let you know if I got in or waitlisted tomorrow.

Wow, I wouldnt've expected that either. You're LSAT is at their median! Based on your numbers you had a 56% chance of getting in according to lawschoolpredictor, whereas I only stand at 49%. Definitely scared now...but if you got into santa clara already that's awesome. Great school. Congrats.

Me too, I think it will be really telling for what's in store for me with San Diego and Santa Clara too. But the fact that I just got notified that they made a decision yesterday and now the first waitlists are rolling out. coincidence? I think not.

Now that I think of it, you should call the admissions dept. I just talked to a rep. from Loyola this past weekend at the West Coast Consortium. She told me that it was normal for me not to have heard back yet since I didn't apply until January, but ppl who applied in November and early December should have heard back by now. I called and asked for an update and they were really nice about it. They won't tell you the decision on the phone, but they'll definitely give you an update on your status.

After being shit on by life for the past couple months I really was excited and thought that Loyola was a nice shower that life had been owing me. But I know where I'm headed with my stats- 161/3.1 - I think my PS, WE, and finishing school in less than 4 years will help me to be waitlisted rather than rejected, but I really love LA and Loyola and I was hoping I'd get in. Now the only schools I was admitted into in the LA region is Southwestern, for the two year program, and Chapman- both without money.
I just really wanted to get to the West Coast, and definitely into Loyola. Oh woe is me! If only they sent it out a week ago, I think I may have been one of those lucky outliers.
Everyone else who got DRs good luck to you all- you guys seem like much stronger and more deserving candidates.

Maybe you should try negotiating for $$ Southwestern? The school actually cranks out a lot of great lawyers and judges, I happen to know a lot of them and even though its not ranked it has a pretty good reputation down here in Los Angeles. And hey, you can always transfer.
