In w/ 87k/3yrs as of a couple days ago.

Anyone one know if they will negotiate up an 87k scholarship to reduce to the overall debt load to under 100k?

My status changed today to "decision letter sent." Since I didn't get an e-mail saying I was accepted, does that mean I was rejected? How long did everyone else have to wait for that e-mail or the acceptance letter in the mail after it said decision letter sent? Thanks

They send all of their decisions through the mail. The only reason someone knew by email was because their letter took so long to get to them that they got a "here's some info about being accepted" email and figured it out.

Unfortunately, they don't. I was going for full-tuition at Loyola, but I called their financial aid office and apparently $87,000 is the maximum offer.

According to my status checker: "A decision regarding your admissions application was made on February 20, 2011."

I think I remember reading earlier in the thread that those with acceptances show a "Congratulations" notice on their status checker. Is this any indicator?

ohh ok that's good to know. Sigh, I don't even know why I applied here just to be let down...I'm predicting a ding for sure but I just have some false hopes.

I'm assuming a ding or WL is a normal business size envelope and an admit is some fatty packet?

Still at Complete as of 12/16... my numbers aren't spectacular, so I understand why they might be taking their time, but still... come on LLS!

Been complete since mid January. At 25 percentile LSAT and above 75 percentile GPA. Eager to hear back soon! (Loyola LA is my first choice)

According to LSN, in past cycles, 'borderline' candidates usually heard back in March. I'm in the waitlist range, and many with around my numbers got word in mid March.

Ask. You should feel very fortunate to have received that offer. Loyola must really want you.

Congrats! Wow.. If you don't mind me asking, URM? Even if, that's really great.. I'm totally jealous at this point.

someone told me that there are a LOT of these, and you shouldn't count on keeping it-- there is a good chance you may lose it after one year.

also, there's no way to predict how well you'll do during 1L year, so it's such a toss up. you may rock the shit out of law school and be top 10, but obviously, 70% of the class would not have the grades to keep a scholly like this.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
