Yea I know. Sorry I should have specified/been a little clearer and meant if it doesn't officially change in a week or so (meaning they say something and it's the same), I'd call to negotiate.

I applied in October. From this thread, I feel like my numbers were right on the line between "in" and "waitlist" for them, but I'm glad they decided to lean my way!babyoll7304 wrote:bgb1016 wrote:In today via email and status checker! Finally!

Crap! They waitlisted me. When do you guys think I can expect an answer by? Is there still a chance of getting a scholarship off the waitlist?

Thanks for having my best interest in mind but not sure if you remember but I cannot retake because I maxed out. Even if I could retake i don't know if I would because like I've stated numerous times before, I just suck at standerdized tests and there's even a good chance that I would do worse so I would not waste my time but thanks anyways.rocon7383 wrote:RETAKE!!! So what should I choose: Cardozo at sticker, Hofstra with 25k a year, NYLS full ride, or Rutgers-Newark which just simpy has cheap tuition?

I hear ya man. Im wondering why no app to st. Johns? That could have potentially got you some money. I would wait out Brooklyn but would lean towards DoZo. You're obviously a great student, so if you went in there focused on bodying year one and negotiating a scholly after, it may be your best option. I got the full ride to nyls top, but there stipulations are tough! That's a risky choice, in my opinion.lawfreak wrote:Thanks for having my best interest in mind but not sure if you remember but I cannot retake because I maxed out. What is my BLSconnect username / password? I don't remember ever receiving info about this. Is it the same as the status checker?

Sorry about the waitlist, I was rooting for you. I hope you get off the waitlist and in, if that's what you want. I have no idea about money coming off the WL...I'd imagine a massive majority of the money is going to go to candidates who get accepted right off the bat.lawfreak wrote:Crap! They waitlisted me. As for what you should do now...the choice is yours. There are a lot of variables that are specific to you--your career goals, financial situations, quality of life arguments, etc.
In your same shoes, I would take Cardozo, but that is if I weighed what is important to me. For you, I just don't know. Good luck to you!

How long does it take for your password to start working after they email it to you. They emailed me mine yesterday (was accepted Monday), but I can only log in sporadically. Is this normal? I could sign in once last night, but not at all before or since.

I got into St. John's but for some strange reason they didn't offer me a scholarship so i sent them an email negotiating, but haven't heard anything back from them yet. Regarding NYLS, they offered me to become a Greenberg Scholar which I'm not sure how much more money that is in addition to my 15k but I think it will be near full because Greenberg just donated $20 million to the fund, and they said no stips to that.

Hey, I have a completely obsessive question--does anyone know if the admissions committee will meet next week during BLS' spring break?

offices are open..not sure if they are meeting, but career services is open and the secretaries for the professors are working..the school seems to be running business as usual, just without the students

Re: Brooklyn Law School 2011 Cycle
Sort of interesting from BLS's website:
According to the data that the Law School reported to the National Association for Law Placement and to The National Law Journal, 58 members of the 2010 graduating class, or 12.5%, were hired as first-year associates by NLJ top 250 law firms. Had The National Law Journal reported the facts correctly, Brooklyn Law School would have ranked 35th in the nation.
