I wouldn't worry about it too much. My status checker didn't work the first few times I tried it. Then it magically started working with the same username/password combo I used for the rest of my applications. It's not like it tells you anything anyway.

Also, I got an acceptance email this morning.

Not sure why you think it's taking so long...it's not even mid-January, second semester hasn't begun at many schools (so faculty away, if not snowed out in NE) and, if you look at Anna Ivey's blog on this very topic this week, you'll see that she advises you to chill.

Thanks! Applied 11/18. Like I said, I kind of ignored the status checker because it originally didn't work so I don't know when/if I went in review. Here's the email:

"Congratulations! It is my sincere pleasure to inform you that the
Brooklyn law school admissions committee has recently approved your
application for admission as a student in the
full-time division of our 2011 Entering Class. In
a year of intense competition for admission, this decision reflects
our judgment that you show considerable promise as a student, as a
lawyer, and as a professional.

Within the next week, we will send you a formal letter of admission
via postal mail. It will provide you with instructions about how to
secure your seat in the class. Shortly thereafter, you will receive
an Admitted Student Information Kit that contains instructions about
how to obtain law school housing, attend an orientation program, and
apply for financial aid, as well as literature about our faculty,
academic programs, Career Center, campus and neighborhood.

As Brooklyn Law School continues to build on its reputation for
excellence, we feel that there is no better place to begin your life
as a lawyer. We look forward to welcoming you into the BLS community
this fall.

Best wishes for your continued success.

Henry W. Haverstick III
Dean of Admissions & Financial Aid"

Do you have to apply/ask for scholly info or do they present you with a package if they see fit?

Do you mind sharing stats?

In review since 11/11, applied 10/2. Seriously.

So weird. I applied 12/07 and have been complete/under review since 12/09. I logged in to the status checker this morning and my status was "incomplete" as of 1/15; the same date many people are saying they received acceptance e-mails. I wonder if they're waiting on my fall semester grades?

my status still says, "Ready for Review - 11/22/10" & I applied 11/9/10

does this mean it is complete, but not in review?

nervous.

Brooklyn is actually one of my safeties. I'm over their 75 percentile GPA and near the top of their 75 percentile LSAT. =/

I just checked my status and it doesn't say anything but under status but the term I applied for. Meaning no complete or under review. It just says Term Fall 2011 Part Time, does that mean I'm in or is it broken again?

Are BLS students still 95% employed at 9 months out earning $1.2 million to start; or has the school taken its wildly contrived employment stats down a half notch to match the current economic climate? Do administrators answer pointed questions about unemployed graduates when asked; or do people go the polite route and not ask when they visit on campus?

I find it hard to believe that with all the negative press surrounding BLS (the school is basically the poster child for the law school transparency movement), this place still gets swamped with applications each and every year.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
