Good luck man, and keep your head up.

Uh, YEA. This is going to be a problem. I know I'm going to fall in love with Irvine on Thursday, but it's also pretty damn hard to give up the full ride to the law school back home. Sigh. I'm counting on the UCI admitted students/current students to console me/convince me to make poor financial choices.

Has anyone applied at or near 3/1 received a decision yet?

Anyone know the deposit date? I've been looking on their website. I don't have my acceptance papers with me.

I don't know if I can go. My fiance works in downtown LA and he has insane hours, so we were looking at living in Long Beach, but that might make the commute insane. Time! I need time!

I'm pretty sure the "deposit" date is actually just an "intent to register" date. AKA you don't have to actually pay anything to reserve your spot.

With that said, the deadline to register is April 15th. Are you going to ASD tomorrow?

Thanks.

I can't make the ASD. My last day on the job is Friday, so there was no way I could take time off this week.

Submitted my SIR and applied for housing at Vista del Campo and VdC Norte, just in case I end up going :D . Does anyone know why the application doesn't ask what type of apartment we want (#of bedrooms, size...)? Seems to be pretty important...

Waitlisted via envelope as well. You guys had me so convinced snail mail = rejection that I did not even have my family open it up for me before I came home from work.

How many waitlists did they send out? On one hand I am heartened since I am below their 25th percentile both GPA and LSAT and made it onto their waitlist. On the other I have a feeling that it does not mean a whole lot with the numbers I have. Time to make one hell of a kick ass LOCI.

I thought it was great. Dean C was nicer than I thought; the mock class by Leslie was really, really cool. Everyone was nice. I thought the first mock panel was worthless unless you want to do public interest. I had to hunt down a few people to talk about their impression on UCI into big law. Facilities were amazing. Lack of beer/wine at the reception was disappointing... Library was top notch. Free USB drive was great.

I still think Top 20 projection is a bit too much to expect, but Top 30 seems right.

I have hit my passive voice quota for the month.

I was incredibly impressed by ASD. There is an aura around the school which is hard to ignore, and the other admits, 1/2Ls, and professors made me feel as comfortable as I could expect at a law school. I'll be registering within the week unless UCLA decides to accept me with a full ride, a paid-for penthouse and a chauffeured Porsche.

I would totally agree. ASD was amazing. We're going to be an awesome class! It was good to meet you and lfp there! You guys left the after party far too early, though!! I am genuinely excited for law school.

LOCI time! Anyone else waitlisted and vying for a spot?
