From my conversations with her... She said they are over-full in the day program by 17 seats right now. FWIW she told me the last seat deposit was due on the 20th and mid to late june they would know for sure where they have availability for waitlist

Does anyone know when the latest round of seat deposits were/are due for those of us hanging out on the waitlist?

Dr. George is handling a conference/ group on campus and going out of town sometime this month. She gave me the impression that she wouldn't be making any decisions during this time.

We should see some movement on the list in June. The last deposits are due 5/27, and they give 7 days for mail lags. I was told to make contact after 6/6 if I hadn't heard anything.

I called Dr. George today and left a voice mail message I received an email from Ms. Bennnett stating that admitted students had until 6/15 to confirm if they will attended or not and then after that date if they need to they will start pulling from the wait list.

Got a distribution list email update about 2 hours ago. Just want to make sure everyone on the wait list got the email, if not, the text is below:

Thank you for your continued interest in the Georgia State University College of Law. This email is to update you on the status of the wait list. Currently we are awaiting second confirmations from admitted students to reaffirm their intent to enroll in the College of Law for Fall 2011. Our admitted students are required to confirm their intentions by June 15th. After which we will reassess our class to determine if there are any positions that require filling. If space becomes available the wait list will be utilized. We will continue to monitor our class enrollment throughout the summer.

If you wish to no longer be considered as a candidate for the Fall 2011 entering class, please respond to this email and we will update our records. We thank you for your patience during this process.

Thanks for sharing that! I called Dr. George last week, and want to share the info she gave me. Right now, they are waiting on second deposits. For those that don't send them in, the admissions folks will be attempting contact before giving up their spot to someone else.

As we know, the FT day class is overly full. Last year was a big class, and they're about 10 students over that # (if I remember correctly). There may be some availability in PT day, but we're mostly going to be seeing spots in PT evening.

We should see some movement after the 24th. That's when they'll be sitting down to make some more decisions.

I know they are currently making moves as I just transferred from PT to FT. Can't hurt to call and ask how things are looking for the waitlist. From what I understand FT/ PT Day is just about out of sight for anyone, FT Day/Evening is questionable and your best shot is in PT Evening. So if you are very interested in going and can deal with PT Evening for a year, call and give them your best sales pitch.

I completely agree. Very depressing. I'm still feeling a bit in denial, but mostly feeling daunted at the thought of going through all of that again.
