I got in with those exact numbers, in-state. Are you OOS? Maybe send LOCI?rmjones03 wrote:I got held for a second review about 2 weeks ago, and have heard nothing since...... 160/ 3.7....

What do you plan on saying? I'm OOS too, but only by about 15 miles. I'm toying around with the idea of sending a LOCI, but do you send an e-mail or...?

I would call and ask what their preferred method is - they seem really nice and helpful.enida10 wrote:What do you plan on saying? I'm OOS too, but only by about 15 miles. I'm toying around with the idea of sending a LOCI, but do you send an e-mail or...?

Just curious, but did anyone apply for the part-time program?
I applied for the full-time program but on the application they ask you to rank which programs you are interested in so I was wondering would they offer a person who applied full time a part-time spot?

I put full-time as one and part-time evening as 2. They put me down as full-time on the status checker and I just got rejected. 158/3.2. Was hoping they would consider me in as a viable PT candidate, but I have no idea if they did or not. Good luck, though, to everyone elsejsimp wrote:Just curious, but did anyone apply for the part-time program?

That's rough, I'm sorry! I bet your have lots of great acceptances elsewhere. You were only a little below median... I'm surprised at some of their choices this year.TT09 wrote:I put full-time as one and part-time evening as 2. They put me down as full-time on the status checker and I just got rejected. 158/3.2. Re: Georgia State University - 2011 Applicants
I am planning to email them. I only wrote a couple of sentences in my P.S. regarding why I want to attend GSU specifically, so I am going to elaborate on that, and touch on why I would be an asset to the class of 2014. Or I guess why I think I will be an assetenida10 wrote:What do you plan on saying? I'm OOS too, but only by about 15 miles. Was your application held or was this the first you've heard anything from them?

I was in review on 2/1 and then in review on 2/15. My app went complete on 1/28. I was never waitlisted.enida10 wrote:Was your application held or was this the first you've heard anything from them?

They seem to have done that for a lot of people. It didn't turn out bad for me. When I visited their campus last week they said that it's pretty standard in their procedure to update their statuses like that.Relientkate wrote:Held for further/second review... a little puzzled. OOS 162/3.73.

Re: Georgia State University - 2011 Applicants
Waiting on LSAT score from Feb12 for application to be completed. Applying part time evening only cause I'm married and have 2 kids and have to work full time. I'm 32 so my last academic class was almost a decade ago, but GPA back then was 2.86 cumulative (rose steadily over time and actually received academic honors a year at UGA, which admin director said would be taken into account). Actually met with the admissions director about a month ago and she was super helpful. I'll update with LSAT score when it comes back and app shows completed.

Anyone been admitted yet after being put on hold? I'd really like an answer from GA State before I put my deposit elsewhere...

Re: Georgia State University - 2011 Applicants
Just applied yesterday... Super late in the cycle, but I was waiting for Feb LSAT score to see if I should even bother applying. I thought I was going to do really bad (like i did on the dec lsat) and was going to retake again in June & apply next cycle. But it turns out I did ok despite the lack of studying [ was super busy with full-time work and class... i know its my fault ]
I'm pretty lucky though ha cause they sent me a fee waiver the morning I was going to apply... yay. anyways 3.7 & 157 on feb lsat. I'm a finance major already attending GSU.. Sooo anxious!
I'm really worried cause I saw some people with higher numbers being put on review.. this is my first choice.. If I don't get in, I'm going to John Marshall ATL. *crosses fingers* But congrats to everyone who got in

I got an email yesterday saying the they were unable to reach a decision at this point in the process. I am 163 and 3.6. I figure that they might be looking to make their GA resident quota since I am OOS.
