I submitted my application and LSAC sent the CAS report, but I have not heard from them that I am complete yet.

I submitted my application on 10/25, and got an e-mail from them with my status checker info on the 26th. My status still just says "Application Received", so I don't know if I'm complete either.

I applied as well. How long do you think it will take them to render a decision?

Lord only knows. I think it is like a lot of schools - the later you apply, the longer it may take - unless you have killer stats. I wasted too much time waiting nervously for my LSAT score. I think I am just going to take a break from the internet and status checkers and focus on work (I am a non-trad 15 years out of undergrad). I'll get e-mails or letters in the mail when decisions are made. Even if one school comes back super quick, I still need to wait on the others before I can decide anyways.

I'm so glad to see a JMLS 2011 thread! I applied several months back and was admitted within 2 weeks. The process was pretty quick but I think I beat the rush. I'm really impressed with this school. Did you know that they are spending millions of dollars on an expansion project? Their new entrance will have great presence right on State Street. I'm pretty excited. http://www.suntimes.com/news/education/2793976,CST-EDT-JMARSHALL12.article

JM Atlanta is of no affiliation with the JM in Chicago. I wish the op in that thread would share where he is at.

Estimated cost of attendance = $52,864

Location = One of the more difficult major markets to break into.

Schools students compete against: Chicago, Northwestern, Chicago Kent, Notre Dame, Illinois, IU-Bloomington, Harvard, Yale, Columbia, NYU, etc.. etc... etc..

So my question is: How much do you think that new expansion project is going to affect your ability to pay those loans back?

Considering I was offered a full tuition scholarship I'd say not a bit.

Don't forget the 400+ students from JMLS who graduate each year. They're competing for the same jobs, too.

I would agree that the Chicago legal market is oversatuated (in good and bad economies).

Even without full tuition the answer would be not a bit...

I'm not on TLS to discourage anyone, I wish you and everyone else the best of luck. I simply advocate for a clear evaluation of all the surrounding circumstances when choosing a school.

Congrats for Greg...has anyone else heard anything from JMSL-Chicago? I applied 11/22 and there is no status, just that it is being reviewed by the Faculty Admissions Committee at the top of the screen???

I grew up in Chicago and would really love to go back, and starting to get anxious!

I haven't heard back yet either. I think I have been in review for a while but they don't have a date up.

How long typically to go complete? The only email I have is that my app has been received on 11/30. This should be a safety for me, but it's always nice to get an accepted somewhere.

My decision letter was mailed on Dec. 4th but still have not received it. I saw someone on lawschoolnumbers.com say they received an email about being a newly admitted student before the decision letter even came. Is this the case for all people who are admitted? I would be surprised if I did not get into JMLS but am a little worried that I haven't seen an e-mail like this yet.
