On the bright side: Loyola is a good school and you will be saving a considerable amount of money by going there instead of Hastings (assuming you get good grades.)
Yea it's kind of scary, but (believe it or not) there are schools with worse stips out there. The way I see it is that it will still be cheaper than Davis or Hastings at sticker even if I lose the scholarship after 1L and it just isn't worth it to attend Hastings at sticker when job prospects at the moment don't seem any better than Loyola. Plus I'm from the LA area and know some Loyola alums and current students. Hell I'm not even taking out any loans for 1L, which should greatly minimize my debt load. My waiver was also denied.. I'm definitely appealing though. They told me I had to wait until Aug 1 when the head nurse comes back. Mine was denied because my plan’s annual maximum out-of-pocket expense and deductible combined is $8,000 and the limit is $5,000. The reason I want to keep my own insurance is there is no lifetime out of pocket maximum, whereas Hastings' is $400,000. Hopefully I can figure it out and keep my current insurance.kapital98 wrote:
