Alright, well I'll just stick with my off-campus interview and forget about scheduling an on-campus one to follow it up.

Still definitely going to visit once the weather clears up a bit. No desire whatsoever to fly right into a massive snow storm D:

so I talked to their admissions office, the 8 week period is when you are supposed to have heard back, its not meant as a guideline (at least according to the person I spoke with). I still haven't gotten a decision and mine was up on Wednesday! Anyone else overdue?

So, the consensus is that the whole 8 week wait was just a ploy to make us anxiously count down the days, only to find out that we'll find out when we find out?

Originally complete 11/22, then 1/11. Still nothing - not that I'm complaining.

The best is going right to the end of the 8-week period only to be "held" and told that you get to wait ANOTHER 2 to 3 months for a decision AGAIN (Since Hold can ---> WL, Reject, Admit).

Fun. Times.

+1 submitted and received mid nov, had two complete dates, most recent one being 1-12-11. No decision yet. This week has been a rollercoaster ride.

Yes I am, and it makes me a little frustrated considering Northwestern bills themselves as a business focused law school. If I had a deadline that I missed at my job, regardless of my reasoning, I'd be fired.

8 weeks and overdue. Yesterday was holds, today were admits. Hopefully the next batch isn't a pelting of dings. And if it is, hopefully I'm not in it!

But of course the consequences for lateness are different (read: nonexistent) when the person in the position of power is the one who is late, not the underling/applicant.

Of course they would keep the dings in suspense longest.

Ostensibly, they don't want to hand out any dings until they're sure they can't accommodate the person in a class... So it makes sense. In a perverse way they're doing us favors... I am sure my ding is coming off Hold soon enough.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
