We base the initial determination of an applicant's residency status on the state of permanent residence they provide on both their application and the CAS report we receive from LSAC."
...does this mean that as long as you claim you are a PA resident on your application and on CAS, Temple believes you?

Re: Temple 2011
I'd assume that they believe you initially. However, once you send in your deposit to hold your spot, etc, etc, I would think that they would verify in-state residency. Why do it up front to everyone they accept, when they can just wait and verify the students who will be attending? Applicants know whether they are truly in-state or not, and if they are uncertain then I would hope they would ask.kk19131 wrote:We base the initial determination of an applicant's residency status on the state of permanent residence they provide on both their application and the CAS report we receive from LSAC."

my current numbers are 153/3.41 (non traditional student with 5 years professional experience). Planning to retake in February and shooting for a 160-165. With those numbers...think there's a shot?

Definitely a little frustrating, complete since November 1st, and still nothing.
Also if you can get into the 160's you should be able to get in (even late in the cycle).

Re: Temple 2011
Hi everyone --
A little late sending my application to Temple, but before the Jan. 15th deadline. I'm waiting on my LSAC fee waiver, wish I had never asked for it as now it's holding up my application.
160/3.69, I think I have a good shot, especially as I went to Temple Undergraduate and know a few folks, including Bill Wertheimer, the dean of students.
Here's hoping! *crosses fingers*

Sure there is, if you break 160 you're likely going to get in, especially if you wait till next cycle.jer.smith83 wrote:my current numbers are 153/3.41 (non traditional student with 5 years professional experience). Do decisions come only on status checker, or do they also send out emails?

Last year they admitted 130/326 people within that range.

You're above their 75% for GPA and 2 points below their 25% for LSAT if you applied FT. I'd say you've got a good chance, but I wouldn't expect much in aid.lawschool12345 wrote:yea i applied late december

So I just went complete today for the 2nd time. 12/20 -> 1/7. Should I be expecting the decision as the next update on the status checker?

I went complete 11/1 -> 12/15 so I wouldn't hold your breath for a quick decision. (Similar numbers to yours and applied part time as well)

I just called. They say 8-12 weeks after the first complete, you should have a decision.

Re: Temple 2011
I think the length from second complete to decision is random. My second complete day was 12/29 and I got a decision on 12/30. During the holiday break. Not sure how that happened, but I'll take it.kk19131 wrote:My second complete date is 11/23 and I don't have any kind of decision yet, so...

You may not receive a decision quickly, but the next update to your status checker will likely be the decision.
