Hey guys,

I have a question about housing in Philadelphia. How's the area around South Broad Street / Christian Street. I know there is a metro station right on Broad Street that goes up to Temple, but I wasn't sure about the safety of the area. Please help Philly natives...

It's fine. Nowhere in the city is completely safe and you'll drive yourself nuts trying to find one. That area is pretty nice.

I am a rising Temple 2L and just wanted to say CONGRATS to those accepted!

(didn't have the patience to actually read this entire thread btw, though I was an obsessive TLSer before I started school)

If anyone has any questions about moving to Philly (I wasn't originally from the area), apartments, decision advice, school advice, just want to know a familiar face, need help when you get to Philly, etc . . . feel free to shoot me a PM (because I don't check the forums ever since I started law school). Don't be shy.

did you already accept their offer?

if this is true, i am mad. I spent all summer seeing if they would increase my scholarship from 20k a year to 30k a year and they were not budging.

Nope, I didn't even realize they hadn't dropped me from their list of accepted students. I wouldn't be upset, they originally offered me 8500$ a year (Law Faculty or whatever), then yesterday afternoon sent me an email offering 20000$ a year for whatever reason.
