That seems to be the trend this year based on people who have been accepted. In answer to chicityteacher, I think a number of us are in that 12/1 "In Review" boat. It's driving me crazy!

So some people have been accepted already? Who/where are these people? When did they find out? And when did they apply? The app became available Oct. 1 and I applied Oct. 14th. So, should I be finding out soon?

I'm driving myself crazy with these questions.

only a few from this thread, and by few i mean less than five.
there may be more on LSN but i haven't checked in a week or so.

i applied in late october, got my letter on 12/29...
don't know how helpful that is as there seems to be a bit of inconsistency...but you applied about when i did so logic would say you should hear soon. i'm coming to realize logic is not applicable to this process, though!
good luck!

I applied mid-November, numbers just above the median LSAT and GPA. I got my letter in the mail on New Year's Eve. My status disappeared a couple of days before the later came.

Any idea what might have made you stand out so much that you got in that fast?

I applied as early as possible and my LSAT is way over their 75th percentile. My GPA sucks but I still thought I'd be a strong candidate. But apparently I didn't make it in to their earliest batch of acceptances.

If you don't mind me asking, what was your gpa/lsat + softs? I am right at the median for both lsat and gpa, and if you don't have any wild softs it might give me an idea if I will get in.

Also, I thought UW processed applications in the order they were received. Am I wrong? This whole debacle is confusing and a little disconcerting...I wonder if I should be worried...

I had a pretty good personal statement, I guess. I honestly don't know. I have been pretty actively engaged in advocacy work for sexual minorities, but all as an undergrad. I worked close to full time all throughout college to make ends meet, and I am applying straight out of my undergrad program.

Personal opinion? I think we applicants think far too much about the review process--they probably just grab stacks kind of arbitrarily based on when you apply.

3.0/175, no softs worth mentioning except several years of work experience in retail and customer service jobs. Well-written personal statement, I guess. And some ties to the region, but nothing insane.

I'm probably overthinking this review process. It has probably been semi-random up to this point. Despite the few acceptances here, it feels like they haven't really begun the first wave of decisions yet.

I submitted a week ago. My status is awaiting CAS report, while UW emailed me and said that my documents were complete. Is it normal?

In a word, yes.

I was "awaiting CAS report" for three weeks, when I finally emailed them and then my status changed to "Ready for Review". Someday, I hope to make it in review.

This. That "we have everything!" email + status checker INCOMPLETE always freaks me out. But mine changed to Ready for Review a couple days ago. It'll happen, life!

Applied 10/20 with 3.5/172/1 year WE in Washington (though OOS, currently elsewhere).
Accepted about 2 weeks ago.

That is crazy! I applied before you and still haven't heard...my LSAT isn't anywhere near as good though, I am at the median for UW. This makes me worried that maybe they are more closely reviewing my file because I am closer to their medians. Then again, someone else was accepted who said they were just about at the median for both gpa/lsat...so who knows what is going on over there right now.

Are you planning on going to UW? It seems like with those numbers you would be able to attend other places. You should withdraw and make more room for the rest of us!

Also, about your name - did you go to Whitman in Walla Walla?

No, I didn't go there. Just a fan of Walt. I have gotten into some T14s (see profile). However, I am very interested in UW. If I do not get offered scholarship money, I will be happy to withdraw and make room for others. Anyone know when we find that out?

I emailed UW, and they said they changed the status checker "individually" according to the order we submitted our application. Anyway, just wait.

I ended up getting a hold of someone because I still hadn't received a status tracker email.

She was very nice, and sent me another email with the password. I also went right to "Ready for Review" later that day. Very cool.

Does anyone have an estimate of how long it takes to go from ready for review to in review? I applied in the middle of December and my status recently went to ready for review.

I was "Ready for Review" for maybe 2-3 weeks. I applied earlier though - Mid October. I have been "In Review" since December 1. So...you may have to wait a while. I have heard that the longest statuses are "Ready for Review" and "In Review," but I think a lot of it has to do with when you apply. If you applied in Mid-December - kind of a peak time - you might not see any change for some time.

Anyone have their status disappear recently? I feel like it was just a tiny number of people in late December, and then nothing....
