Yeah, I check the threads for other schools I apply to, but I always save UDub for last. :) Sorry about the ding. :(

Good luck, samila!

So I checked my status last night, and it still says I'm in review as of 2/9, but a decision letter was apparently mailed on 2/28. I haven't gotten the letter yet.

Anyone have any clue what this means?? Did they just fail to update my status? I just really hope the letter wasn't an error :/

Yes, UW is notorious (this cycle, at least) for not updating the status checker. Numbers? I'm in the 02/28 Decision Letter Sent group and I'm trying to guage whether or not they are admit/deny letters.

Yeah, I don't think UW has been good about updating the status checker. My online status page says "Decision 2/24," and does not have "decision letter sent" under the mailings, but I received my acceptance letter a couple days ago. The letter was dated 2/25.

I actually got an acceptance from one school that was in a small envelope - was a total head-fake. Though I assume that is not the norm.

Yeah they do! I nearly started crying when I saw it. I'm sure all the people in admissions think it's hilarious.

So has anyone here gone through the scholarship application process at UW? The prompt for the 'scholarship essay' doesn't seem to leave room for negotiating. My instinct tells me to just write a good essay, submit and wait to see what they offer before using my other offers as leverage... but I'm fearing that they won't get around to even sending the first offer until my April 8th UMN seat deposit comes around.

Status Checker just changed to Decision. Not expecting an offer due to low LSATs. I have very strong softs, including a Master's, PS, and LORs.
IR 1/15
Decision 3/3 - no specifics.

Looks like UW is now starting to churn out decisions. Decisions went out last Friday, this week Monday, Tuesday, and now today.

Maybe it was meant as:

I have very strong softs (including a Master's), PS, and LORs, as in, I have strong softs, strong PS and strong LOR.

*shrug* benefit of the doubt

Aggie, you're not allowed to gripe about scholarships until all of us have a decision. (Or at least chicity and akili.) Haha.

+1 IR 12/1

I think being in Germany nine hours ahead of PST makes things worse. I obsessively check my status and TLS all day long with no updates because most of you are still sleeping. It's sad, but I can't help it.

remember...that does not mean anything, please proceed to checking the mail box daily as I have been doing. I started hate seeing envelope sized mail.

Inquiring minds want to know, though :( These be big decisions to be makin'! My poor hubby has to be submit his pharmacy school paperwork in like 2 weeks or he's stuck here another year. We did the long-distance thing in the military, forget that noise.

You know I'm kidding! :) Although actually, I didn't think you had anything left to decide, I thought you were all set for the Dubster.

So what has the process been for you so far? Just FAFSA and the 500 word essay?
