Congrats! I talked to admissions, and like geoduck said I think they needed to resend some of the packets. Nice to see that they're letting people know, since the I called the office I've gotten 2 really nice emails from them congratulating me.

is it safe to assume that if I did not receive a phone call or an email, but my status checker says current status: decision, that I am rejected?

Not necessarily. When was your decision date?
There was just a issue with the 2/15 people and I think they have just started sending emails and doing phone calls because they realize that so many people didn't receive their stuff in the mail.

I like to think that the TLS callers have made a difference! Hurrah for annoying them till they fixed the problem!

Yea, my status said "Decision 2/28" and then "Decision letter 2/15" under mailings

Went IR 1/21 I believe.

And thanks to geoduck for making that first call, otherwise I would've just sat around waiting because I was afraid to annoy the admissions office!

Oh, and if anyone is curious about the email, it seems that those 2/15 decisions that were screwed up are receiving these en lieu of whenever our lost packets arrive...at least, based on the wording of it.

Yes. Decision reached 02/28 with Decision Letter sent 02/28.

One of the 2/15 batch here (congrats to others). Do any of you know how the $$ works here? It seems as though there is not much. Do you have to do the scholarship essays or will you be considered as you would at any other school. I'm happy to write the essay for a scholarship, less happy about filling out FAFSA, to potentially get $$ but I feel as though my essay will have nothing to contribute over my application.

How well could I leverage the money I got at, say, William and Mary? I'd love to go to UW (although this letter fiasco and phone policy is concerning) but it would be hard to turn down other money at similar schools for UW at sticker.

Accepted today!! Received the e-mail in the afternoon and then a phone call from a 1L about an hour later. Decision 2/15. Best of luck to everyone still waiting!

Congrats to everybody who was admitted today!

I am officially super impressed by UW admissions and how they are trying to fix the 2/15 mistake. I have had a really bad experience with one of the schools I admitted at, but UW is the polar opposite. The student I talked to was so nice and gave me the number for arranging residency after my first year...

I have a tough choice ahead of me.
