I don't know what I'm going to do now.
Go to a splitter-friendly school that has a way higher rank and proceed to be an awesome law student, probably? I mean, a 175 has gotta open doors for you.

Sorry about UW though. Pretty cold that they don't even acknowledge how awesome your LSAT score is =/

I just can't believe I didn't even make the waitlist... this was an outcome that I never even considered.

3.6/169 so ummm... really?
Well that's not entirely bad news... Are you going to try and ride it out?

Seeing as I'm 3.6/162, I'm really banking on my LORs (from UW profs), PS and WE. I wish I had more legal related stuff on my resume, but I'm hoping my employment with Seattle's big non-profit film organization and employment with the City of Bellevue are unique enough to warrant giving me my shot.

I wouldn't entirely despair. I think that UW can be friendly toward splitters (I am at their 25% on GPA). Also, residency and ties to the area are clearly an issue with their admissions (I grew up in WA, but did not apply as a resident).

You aren't sounding too bad to me. It seems like softs, residency and GPA are all really important this cycle. 162 hurts, but it is in the range. Legal related stuff doesn't seem to have any more of an advantage than other WE.

At this point I'm banking on GOOD KHARMA: focusing on putting positive energy out into the universe... Because apparently being a splitter with a high LSAT = fucked

EDIT: that last part might have hurt my kharma...

I definitely have my Seattle ties. I'm even working as a Barista right now.

geoduck as in Evergreen? I went to TESC for 2 years and loved it. Ended up having to transfer up to UW due to a bunch of professors retiring at once and classes not being offered b/c of it, but I thought it was an amazing place with awesome people.

Yeah, I think political science is probably one of the majors looked down on here, but I went to a tough school, and if you got a B in a poli sci class, that was like getting an A because it was next to impossible to get As.

Yeah  I'm going to have to include plans to stay there forever in my LOCI.

Why must one have ties to an area?! Why can't you just want to move there because you're not a huge fan of the sun you want to and know you will love it? Geez.

My status is still at "Under Review" but it now says that a decision letter was mailed under mailings. I have no clue what to expect after the inconsistencies uw is showing so far...

Evergreen it is. C/O '08. But my wife is a Husky, so I can appreciate both schools

UW Law has 60% residents, it's tough to get in OOS just like UVA or any other good state school.

Man, this thread has really taken a turn for the negative. :( I, for one, am clinging onto that faint glimmer of hope with all of my might. Come on, UW, show us some love!

Best of luck to everyone whose decision letters were just sent out.

Yeah, really sorry to hear about this guys :(

Starting to think that remaining stuck on 1/21 IR is a good thing. Every day that passes is another day I didn't get rejected, I guess.

Guys, remember that when they say "decision letter sent", they mean "we'll probably send the letter in a few days." Everyone who has been accepted so far, including myself, received the letter post-marked well after they said "decision letter sent."

So... if your "sent" date is 2/15/2011, they probably won't even mail the damn thing until Friday or worse. So... don't despair if you don't get it really soon.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
