+1 (minus the rum part. I better get on that to help my sanity! Haha.) Sooooooo freaking beautiful, I am going to flip the heck out if I get in.
Wait, people who are accepted, what did you get in the mail? Is it packet-y? Will I know right away when I pull it out of
my unconscious mailman's hands the mailbox?
Yes you will know RIGHT away. It's pretty damn big. So big, in fact, that when my mail carrier stuffed it into the little box, he kinda tore the portfolio a bit =/ Only a bit.. but still!!
The packet is absolutely gorgeous. Everything about UW screams professionalism and awesomeness.

Congrats!! They waited several days (basically a full business week) before mailing mine. I live in northern California, and it took 2 days post to arrive.
Settle in... it's a long wait, but well worth it.

Mt. Rainier always blows me away. It dwarfs even the skyscrapers of downtown Seattle.
Mt. Rainier trivia: The Puyallup tribe called the mountain Tacoma, which means "mother of waters," because of the many rivers that originate from its glaciers.

You're fine
It's so early in the cycle (I got my Decision on 1/25, and I was one of the very first on LSN so that's my rationale) that it's gotta be an acceptance.

That is so strange...you have got some BOSS numbers. Oh well, at least I'm not alone! I hope we see a change in the next couple days.

I applied with a much lower LSAT (160) so I'm not sure what's up with UW. Glad to have someone else with me though!

Now that I have a decision on the way, I'm feeling a bit better, so here are a few more pictures.

I'm going to have to stay away from this thread (HA! like that will happen). After these pictures, I'll die of disappointment if I don't get in! Splitter-love, UDub, splitter-love.

I'm waiting on edge for UW. They are my first choice. I live in Seattle, and I want to practice law here, and I know that in order to do that I pretty much need to go to UW.
I am also waiting on UC Davis and Hastings, but I feel like I have slightly better chances for UW. I went to UW for undergrad, and both my LOR are from UW professors.
My numbers slightly below median (162/3.59) and I had to explain my misdemeanor conviction, but I am hoping UW LORs, UW awarded BA, consistent WE for the past 9 years (including working for a municipality and a nonprofit) and my WA residency push me over into the accepted camp.
I applied a little bit late in the game (end of Dec) and my current status is "In Review 1/24."
Honestly, I could care less about the 90k Loyola offered me. If UW admitted me and told me I had to pay their out of state tuition, I would still be there.

You've gotta stop posting pictures! I would be so sad if I weren't going to be there for vacation/personal UW visit in March.

I'm looking at the stats here because I don't quite know how to use LSN and people with higher GPAs and LSATs have been rejected. I think I'm going to get an envelope.

I don't know where to look for that. I'm such a n00b, I didn't know about TLS until after I'd applied everywhere, and I don't know LSN at all.

The graph is really helpful too. So far it looks like the only people who have been accepted are the people who are on the upper end of their numbers spread -- the "auto-admits." It sounds like they just released more decisions, so I would imagine we start seeing more people in the middle of the spectrum getting in, and probably more red dots will be showing up. I'm wondering though, how many of their admits do you think are wait listed first? If half of their class has lower than a 163, do you all think that group was accepted immediately or only after riding out the wait list for a bit?
That is a statistic that I would love to know, as the longer I don't see a status change, the more I suspect I may end up on the wait list.

Yeah that's what it looks like basically from late October through Feb/March. But hey! At least the UW has enough vaguely gothic architecture to make those dreary days dramatic... I'm pretty sure I have a few rainy-campus pics at home. I'll post one or two after work.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
