Mail came today. I saw the mailman put in only small envelopes. I opened the box...
nothing still.
Mailed out 3/11
I can walk to the UW law building in about 5 minutes...

My decision was mailed 3/7 but I still have no letter. Also, does anyone know how UW rejects people? Is it by mail or email?

Last year I was in Spokane and it took FOREVER for my rejection to get to me (5 days IIRC).lgabril wrote:akili wrote:I think we might have more than a dayjwmalone87 wrote:No 3/11 decision letter here in TX today Gaahhhhhhh don't think I can wait another day.

Haha yeah I did. Though I probably should cut them a little slack because I took the December test. Honestly, I'm feeling like I probably got WLed which stinks. Chicityteacher gives me a little hope as one 12/1er who is in!apaint wrote:akili...didn't you go complete in October? They need to pay the extra money and one day air that packet to you!! You have so many great offers though!!!! Would you go to UW over Vandy or Texas?akili wrote:Haha yeah I did. Though I probably should cut them a little slack because I took the December test. Honestly, I'm not sure where I want to go! I have a really good support network in the NW and UW is relatively cheap. I'm not sure if I want to work in Seattle/the NW but if I do, UW is the clear choice. I don't really have a geographical preference besides not hot. If I actually got a scholarship too...apaint wrote:You have so many great offers though!!!! Would you go to UW over Vandy or Texas?akili wrote:Haha yeah I did. I hear ya! Having a support network is AMAZING. I hate that I live in the middle of nowhere so there is no law school near my support network. But I think I would still love UW

Plus, Seattle is freaking awesome and gorgeous. I've only been in the U-District a little, but it's really awesome. Seattle is also really dog-friendly which is huge for me.

Re: U Washington 2011 Applicants
I love the school but I just wish the UW's budget wasn't dependent on Olympia's budget. The state made many mistakes budget wise, and higher education was their piggy bank. During my last two years of undergrad, the UW experienced a significant drop in their quality of education because of the amount of lay-offs, program cuts, and loss of class options, all the while tuition kept rising. I know the law school got a pretty large cut as well, and so they have to be stingy with scholarships.akili wrote:Honestly, I'm not sure where I want to go! Same ol' song and dance for basically every state school, though. My alma mater had the same thing happen. Another 8% tuition hike on the horizon to boot.
