U Washington 2011 Applicants

Post by firecracker » Tue Nov 02, 2010 8:49 pm

I didn't see a thread started for UWash yet, so who else has applied? I submitted today.

Since their deadline is so much earlier than everyone else's, I already feel like I'm late applying...

I submitted on October 2nd. Hey, that's exactly one month ago.

No point in applying very early as they don't have rolling admissions...

Hoping to apply by Thanksgiving, but now I feel like a slacker...

Right, but I said their January deadline makes me feel like I'm applying late. 8)

From what I saw here last cycle (I was a board lurker, and I applied to UW last year too), they do tell people their decisions in batches. And those batches seemed to correlate with the order apps were received. But each batch did seem to have its own acceptances/WL/rejects. So the point would be to hear back sooner for your own peace of mind.

Just submitted my application! I read elsewhere that UW requires a form B, but I cannot find it anywhere in the instructions on LSAC or the UW site. Did they change the requirements this year?

Applied back in September. As far as I know there is no Form B needed anymore.

How did you do that? Did you do it through the mail? Their application wasn't available through LSAC until October 1st.

Sorry I meant first week of October. All of the apps have started to blend together at this point.

Received my status checker on 10/1 and was ready for review on 10/5

I applied last week. Let the ridiculously obsessive status checking begin!

Whoa. LSAC is informing me I need to add 2 "evaluations" to my UW app. Does anyone know if these are required? I was under the impression that no schools were implementing this this year.

I just applied and checked their evaluation requirement. It looks like they "recommend" 2 evaluations but do not require any. Same goes for letters of rec.

I sent an email last Thurs and never got a response. Oh well, I'll give them until this Thursday to ask again.

I sent my request to : lawadm@uw.edu

They requested:
LSDAS GPA
LSAT score
WA residency status

I am not currently a WA state resident, but I told them that I went to HS in WA and my parents still reside there.

They responded promptly to my e-mails (same day).

I applied 11/17 but the status checker says they are still waiting for my CAS report.

I applied 11/8 and mine still says the same. I think they request copies of CAS by mail instead of electronically.

I think that's normal (they're slow). I applied 10/29 and the status checker says they're waiting for my CAS report.

Heh, after 10 days I got a "we're reviewing your request" e-mail. Is it really that hard of a decision?
