In review as of 1/26, myself. I keep forgetting to keep up with this school since it's a financially unrealistic option. I saw your numbers--Would you really pay sticker for this?

No I wouldn't. I don't know how stingy they are with scholarships though, but if Wake offered me a (fairly generous) scholly, I would hope Nova would send some money my way as well.

Temple and Nova have the same prestige in the Philly. Rutgers-Camden is up there, too. Most attorneys practice in PA/NJ, so the region is basically combined. Obviously quality of life is much better at Nova (it's located in an expensive suburb of philly), but if you can get Temple at in-state tuition, that is hard to pass up.

I'm done with you Nova' and your slow-a$$, unpredictable, completely erratic/haphazard way of doing business. I didn't want to come back home to Philly anyway...I'm staying in the South. Keep me under review for as long as you want...why stop at 4 months?

Plus, now I'm leaving the Church...you explain it to the Pope.

I haven't been accepted to Nova.

I was telling Nova that Temple accepted me so there's a small chance I'd actually go to Nova.

I had an interview with an attorney who went to Temple law and he insisted that Temple has a larger impact in Philadelphia. Many of the judges in Philly went to Temple, etc etc. He insists that if you want to practice in Philly that there are more Temple grads in the area. He also told me that Villanova would have more standing if you left Philadelphia since the name is more wellknown nationally.

I think because I'm an UG at Villanova, I prefer VLS over Temple, especially since I'm already comfortable with the campus.

(Mind you, this is all just what this ONE attorney told me. Whether or not its true, IDK)

Quality of life is only better if you don't really like being in the city.

Temple's cheaper. They have the same prestige. Villanova is outside the city. Villanova is very white.

Villanova is a hell of a lot safer than living around Broad Street man. I almost moved in with some friends around 19th and Fairmount, lets just say I'm very happy I didn't.

Upon questioning the admissions dept about the order in which decisions are rendered, all I got was that they hope to have them all done by April. I'd like to know where I'm going by then!

I assumed that by quality of life he/she meant more than just safety.

Villanova is certainly safer than the area around Temple, but nobody has to live in that area if he attends Temple.

I got the same response. That is ridicilious given that there are lots of school with April 1st deadline for first seat deposit. I also applied to Marquette, another Catholic law school with similar aspects, and got the decision pretty quick (in 10 days after went complete).

For a group of people who want to be lawyers, a career that will keep you in a constant state of "wait and see," there is a serious lack of patience. This may be a good life lesson as you are waiting to hear back about grades, motions to the court, or decision about life in general, you often have no controle over the time table. Nova is a respectable school to attend, especially if you can get some money from them. If you want to attend Nova, this is part of the poison and I promise is only continues when you attend law school (especially grades from Nova). Good luck to all applicants, think long and hard about this investment and whether getting upset about waiting a bit for a decision is worth it in the long run. Enjoy this year and the lack of law school stresses.

They have 6 days left until I've been UR for 60-days... the point they suggest applicants should call.

+1 and a mighty good response.
