Hey everyone, I just got a heads up from a 1L who says ASD has been changed to April 2nd. They will be sending out invites shortly. If you can make it and want to go out that night lets do it.langdonbadger wrote:Count me inirishvt14 wrote:I will be at the April 9th ASD. Do you have confirmation of this? I was literally just about to book a plane ticket for the weekend of the 9th.irishvt14 wrote:Hey everyone, I just got a heads up from a 1L who says ASD has been changed to April 2nd. I'm an alum of Villanova and figured i would just make a post to clear up any confusion.
The Admitted Student Open House is set for April 2, not April 9 (I'd assume the website will be updated asap with this info). Seeing as how I'll be there helping out, i thought i should make sure the right information is posted here. Also, if anyone has any questions about the school, don't hesitate to ask

Does anyone know how difficult it would be to keep a 3.1 at Nova? I was just offered 20k for first year and renewable after that if I keep a 3.1. I have no idea what the curve is here so I can't gage if that's something that would be extremely hard to do. Any insight would be greatly appreciated

The curve for my class (1L) is 3.15 I think. The difficulty of keeping the scholly is entirely dependent on your intelligence level and motivation to do well. There are a bunch of smart people here. However, if you're reasonably intelligent and work smart then you shouldn't have a problem staying above a 3.1.yeahyeah2121 wrote:Does anyone know how difficult it would be to keep a 3.1 at Nova? According to my dates, my scholly offer (if it exists) is sitting in my poor mail box an hour and a half from where I am. Grump.

Re: Villanova 2011
Do they send the scholarship offers separately from the acceptance letters?
Edited to say I just saw people indicate that they come separately. I'm just anxious to see their financial offer.

I just got an email a few minutes ago about the Accepted Students Open House on April 2. There was a link in the email requiring registeration to the event. When I clicked the link, I was notified that the event was "sold out"....has this happened to anyone else?

Is anyone bringing family, friends, or significant other to the open house? I feel like it might be good for my SO to see what law school is really going to be like, because I think he has this illusion of things not being any different next year haha

Wondering that too. Travel stipends available "on a limited basis" I hope means for people who have long, expensive flights...SFnative wrote:so how will they do travel accommodations for ppl out of state?

What's the best way to go about asking for a travel stipend? I've registered for ASD and already booked my flight. I haven't gotten a hotel; does anyone have a good recommendation? I'll also be checking out Temple.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
