I just withdrew. They had no scholarship money left for me. Good luck to the waitlisted applicants!

Sending in my commitment deposit right now. I'll be moving to Rip City in less than two months. Yes.

Did you request a scholarship reconsideration? And how did they notify you of the lack of $$$?

Just accepted off the part-time program wait list today and immediately paid my seat deposit. For those of you currently on the wait list I'd recommend communicating to the admissions office via phone/email/regular mail that, if admitted, you WILL attend. Law schools want to keep their selectivity ratio as low as possible and therefore try to admit people who will matriculate. Best of luck to you all still on the list.
Portland here I come!

Yes, after they informed me I was a candidate for a scholarship, I wrote the admissions office a letter in March asking them to reconsider me. They notified me by email last night that they had no extra money left. They said I could remain on the scholarship list throughout the summer if I was serious about attending, because sometimes money frees up, but I already have a $27k scholarship to UO. Therefore, I told them I appreciated the offer, but I will not be attending in the fall.

I got a very slightly increased scholarship, but they refused to drop the GPA stipulation.

I am going to talk to the family, but my guess is I will be withdrawing sometime later this week.

After I withdrew a few days ago, I got an email asking for feedback on whether the new 5pm evening/PT classes (which used to start at 6pm) affected my decision. I'd already been leaning away from L&C, but the 5pm start time did put the final nail in the coffin. I don't know how they expect anyone with a regular 9-5 job to attend. Even if you got off work at 3:30 or 4, you'd have to work near campus to be able to get there. Portland's not a huge city, but it still takes forever to get across town or in from the suburbs at rush hour.

+1

Off to Temple w/$$. I figure, if it's this hard to find a job after law school I at least don't want to be in debt!

I got the email from them a few days ago saying they were out of scholly money. Then, this morning I got a call w/ an award of 18k/year. Still have to decide by May 2nd. I will be withdrawing anyways. GL everyone, if you were put off by their lack of scholly money, there may be some more headed your way!
