I have heard from a friend that they send out admits to lower numbers in late March.
I talked to a SCU representative at the West Coast Consortium on Saturday, she said we'll hear by the end of April.
wow damn that's still going to be a while, i was expecting them all in march
Yeah, most schools I talked to said we'd hear by April 1st. But when I told SCU I've been IR since 2/1 they acted like this was pretty standard and they weren't expecting me to hear back anytime soon. They couldn't give me a ballpark estimate either, they just said "you'll know by April 30th"

Sigh.
Did you call and they just flat out said no?

Nope, it was an email rejection. I feel like Taylor Swift should write a song about this application process.

It feels pretty rough unlike the other schools... maybe because SCU is my first choice.

I just withdrew last week, right before getting the $500 increase - hope the $13,500 makes it to someone here! :)

Status checker just updated to "in committee" for the 3rd time today. First "in committee" happened in January, second in February, and now again in March. Has this happened to anyone else? Two reviews seems to be very common, but haven't seen anything about three reviews.

Happened to me too. So frustrating! Still in third "in committee" at the moment.

It happened to me as well. Really hoping to hear good news from SCU...

MlachiConstant? The luckiest guy in the world? Wow!
I might stop by, anyone do the reading assignment? I'm already putting off doing my readings, not a good sign....

Good to see people are withdrawing. Opens up spots for people like me who are hoping to get in.

I am wondering whether to email my request for more scholarship money now or do it in person on the 19th. The difference between 29k a year @ Loyola and 8.5k at SCU is staggering, especially because SCU has a stricter GPA stipulation to renew.

I know some have already received the "No more dough" response already but I would be crazy not to try myself.

Admitted through status checker today. A time line for those wondering:
Sent app: 2/1/11
App received: 2/1/11
In committee: 2/15/11
Decision: 3/9/11

No idea about money yet. I'll have to find out when I get the letter in the mail.

I was accepted yesterday as well! I sent my app on 1/30 and it went complete on 2/8.
(I found out via the new status checker that shatra built!)

My numbers are 164/3.88.

Went "In Committee" again for the third time as of 3/8. Hoping to hear back soon so I can begin making a decision.

SCU seems to place pretty well in the Bay Area. California is, after-all, the richest state in the Union and if it were an independent country it would be the 7th richest state in the world. Fun trivia anyway. The picture says something to the effect that SCU grads tend to stay in California which increases their pay, so overall median salary may seem high but if you take into account the high cost of living...
