AH! I did TOO!!!! Except for it still shows me as being "In Committee," but my mailing shows "Decision Letter Sent."MrMisiu wrote:Thanks a lot! I'm just excited, I've been waiting since the first of November, and I know swilson has too.
I better have gotten a full scholly ... Just testing.
Santa Clara is one of the top three schools I'm looking at. It places well in my home town, it's close to my family up north, and it's a beautiful campus.Mike088 wrote:good luck! is santa clara your top options?
It seems like a majority of those people getting decisions had this for a few days before it switched over to their admission/deferral status. It's just a waiting game now.Chouchous wrote:also decision letter sent 12/14, but my status is still in committee...What does this mean? Could it be a rejection?
Ok thanks, I was already completely freaking out...so I will just wait and try not to check the status check too oftenswilson215 wrote:Santa Clara is one of the top three schools I'm looking at. This is completely normal. They do not update your status checker to your decision until the letter has been received (how they know this I'm not sure). So, now it really is just a waiting game and this does not indicate that you have been rejected or admitted or anything. Unfortunately, you just need to sit by your mailbox... What does it mean???
(Just testing the waters with the face thing).
Although it seems like mine said admitted long before the letter was sent out (I assume... I live pretty close to the campus and it definitely took more than three days for me to get the actual paperwork).florentine wrote:This is completely normal. It seems like most of the EA deferrals turn into waitlists. From LSN this seems to be the case. 3.0/160 is the magic number to get in without hassle for FT.surfparks6 wrote:So, how many EA individuals got- "Defer to Regular Admission"? I'm just curious. I went on past threads for people who had been pushed to regular admission and it appears that they tend to grant only PT status or place you on the wait-list for something to free up on the FT, unless they flat out reject you the second time around. It's definitely disappointing since Santa Clara would be such a phenomenal school to attend. However, I knew it was a reach to gain acceptance. Still crossing my fingers. Do you think a visit to the campus and a quick meeting with someone in admissions would help? I have already added an additional "Evaluation" but I think I might also add an additional LOR.
I applied RD...mistermister wrote:how many (if any) RD have gotten decisions?
