That's weird because I went complete before you... Are they not doing them in order??

+1
Granted, I went into committee only a day before myenigmamachine, but I haven't gotten any updates. I was wondering how they were ordering them, too. The only thing that worries me is if they just sit on some applications toward the end if they weren't too happy with them when they originally looked at them.

That's what I'm worried about too... guess we will have to wait and see the next two weeks

I havent heard anything else. I'm going back to my college home where my mailing address is, so I'll check tomorrow but I doubt a letter would have made it from Norcal to Oklahoma between Wednesday and tomorrow.

myenigmamachine wrote:So I just looked at my status checker. It says "Part-time" now under program time. Guess that means that I'm out for full time but still a maybe for part-time? Anyone else have this happen? Any thoughts?

(GPA:3.39/LSAT:158)

Looks like we have similar numbers. (3.35, 157, applying PT, EA)

Santa Clara is apparently one of the few schools that puts more weight on the GPA than the LSAT score. My GPA shot up drastically during college (2.9 freshman, 3.9 senior). I hope they account for that... Plus I'm applying PT since I'm trying to get out of there with the least amount of debt possible. Here's my screen:

Decision Letter Sent 11/24/2010
Email - Application Complete 11/08/2010
Email - Application Received 11/01/2010
Program Time: Part-Time Degree: JD
Current Status: In Committee
Current Status Date: 11/23/2010

Wish that "Current Status" was more specific...

Did you ask on the app for SCU to consider you for PT if they couldn't offer you FT? Is so, I think that would mean you're in for the evening division.

I applied PT from the beginning... the job market sucks ass, and PT just seems like a smart alternative these days. It may be good to try holding down a job to lessen that debt - a safeguard if the economy still blows. Plus, you can have that extra year to do some career planning and avoid that crappy legal job market.

All this speculation!! Apps are too f*cking stressful. :|

G'luck!!!!!!!

I wish you guys the best and hope you get in for regular admissions.

I also got mine over the weekend (to my school address, so I opened it today when I got back).

$14k per year, top 25% requirement. Not automatically renewed, but must apply for renewal each year.

Somewhat disappointed...Santa Clara is one of my top choices and I would seriously consider it with a better offer. The cost of living and fact that I've already received better offers from higher ranked schools (William & Mary) is disheartening...

Got the decision this weekend too!

First acceptance this cycle. While my numbers were borderline and I have an impressive resume, what set me apart was (I believe) being well prepared during my campus visit. Charmed everyone I met.

My numbers were in their lower 25% range.

Waiting on UPitts right now. I ED'ed (binding too) there. It would be nice to live in an affordable, vibrant community (UPitts), but the IP focus on SCU is hard to pass up.

Congratulations! Mind if I ask what day your decision letter was sent (on the online status thingy)? Seems like they send similar decisions along with each other.

Did the status checker say the letter was sent on the 24th though? (Sorry to be annoying  )

This x2. I was really hopeful that they would give me an awesome offer and it would be tough to turn down.

So, I'm figuring most everyone who's letters were sent on the 24th should be arriving today. I'm not going to be home until late so I'm just trying not to freak out. Anyone get any good or bad news? Good luck everyone!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing yet. Seems like two weeks ago at least people were getting acceptances on their Online Status Check before receiving the packets via snail mail.

Guaranteed I'll be glued to both. Waiting impatiently.............

Well, nothing in the mail today and still nothing online. Hopefully I'll hear something tomorrow. Anyone get their letter today? Anyone see anything in their online status checker? Does anyone else still have "Decision Letter Sent" and "In Committee" at the same time in the status checker? Anyone have any guesses what this means? I figure it could go either way, might be they're just too backed up to change the status. I figure there's no more reason they would have changed it for admitted vs not admitted... right? Anyone else freaking out :-p ?
