I did. I wanted to be like "Calm down, dude."
haha, yes i felt that way too. but it was nice as well. the student basically offered to be a live resource for prospectives but the thing that stuck out most for me was when s/he said that s/he had no job lined up right now, which was not reassuring.

Hieu Tran yeah?

I guess I am just always skeptical of anyone representing an institution and telling me they are going to be 100% honest. Also the sheer number of exclamation points was kind of off-putting on that front, haha.

But yes, Tran was really nice.

unless you have auto admit numbers, in which case you'll probably hear back soon, i'd expect your decision in late march, early april even. Most people here are have completes from january and maybe even further back that are still waiting

Me too. From what I've gathered in this thread, it looks like a decision is usually rendered roughly 2 weeks after the 2nd review begins.

I wish Tran had posted the same message here, instead of sending it out via email, for the sake of efficiency. It was very brave of him to encourage everyone to shoot him questions (didn't he say "any questions?").

General "ask me stuff and I will tell you things." Little description of the students life at SCU.

Here is something that was troubling, direct quote from email "I am currently on loans 100%, and am still looking for a job post bar exam." I appreciate the honesty, but that doesnt exactly make me feel all warm and fuzzy about SCU.

Sorry just noticed this was already mentioned.

How can one know when 2nd review starts? I was in committee 2/23 and updated 3/2.

Oh wow so everyone that got that email got it from the same person? I thought there were a few SCU "representatives" emailing prospective students. No wonder it took hero long to get back to me!

was this some official email from SCU admissions or something? I don't get how some people got it and people like me have no idea what this is about. Are you guys all admitted already who got it?

I didn't get it either ... I wonder what that means? I'm certainly no auto-admit, but I don't think i'm a reject either so I don't know what to make of it.

Maybe it starts when your IC date changes a second a time? I went complete on 1/24 and my in comittee date changed to 2/23 and no other movement since then. Hope we hear something soon.

Just got a letter about the Emery Scholarship, although this one said I had been awarded $19500 instead of $19000. Bumping the money up $500 is not going to be enough, SCU.

The mailman likely delivered my declination to them this morning.

Only already admitted students got the email.
Also, after going into gmail, I found that it was in the spam folder. HTH

Oh geez. You've been in review one month. Try IC since September with an EA deferral and another IC after that.
