haha, yes i felt that way too. but it was nice as well. the student basically offered to be a live resource for prospectives but the thing that stuck out most for me was when s/he said that s/he had no job lined up right now, which was not reassuring.upfish wrote:I did. I guess I am just always skeptical of anyone representing an institution and telling me they are going to be 100% honest. Also the sheer number of exclamation points was kind of off-putting on that front, haha.
But yes, Tran was really nice.

unless you have auto admit numbers, in which case you'll probably hear back soon, i'd expect your decision in late march, early april even. Most people here are have completes from january and maybe even further back that are still waitingguyindfw wrote:Does anybody have updates in the last week? I am in committee status since 2/23.

Me too. From what I've gathered in this thread, it looks like a decision is usually rendered roughly 2 weeks after the 2nd review begins.oliverdarcy wrote:I was in committee in January and it just got updated to 2/23.

I wish Tran had posted the same message here, instead of sending it out via email, for the sake of efficiency. It was very brave of him to encourage everyone to shoot him questions (didn't he say "any questions?").upfish wrote:Hieu Tran yeah?rs2004 wrote:haha, yes i felt that way too. but it was nice as well. the student basically offered to be a live resource for prospectives but the thing that stuck out most for me was when s/he said that s/he had no job lined up right now, which was not reassuring.upfish wrote:I did. General "ask me stuff and I will tell you things." Little description of the students life at SCU.lsatextreme wrote:+1LockBox wrote:Just out of curiosity, what did the email entail?
Here is something that was troubling, direct quote from email "I am currently on loans 100%, and am still looking for a job post bar exam." I appreciate the honesty, but that doesnt exactly make me feel all warm and fuzzy about SCU.
Sorry just noticed this was already mentioned.

Oh wow so everyone that got that email got it from the same person? I thought there were a few SCU "representatives" emailing prospective students. No wonder it took hero long to get back to me!

was this some official email from SCU admissions or something? I don't get how some people got it and people like me have no idea what this is about. Are you guys all admitted already who got it?

I didn't get it either ... I wonder what that means? I'm certainly no auto-admit, but I don't think i'm a reject either so I don't know what to make of it.lsatextreme wrote:was this some official email from SCU admissions or something? Maybe it starts when your IC date changes a second a time? I went complete on 1/24 and my in comittee date changed to 2/23 and no other movement since then. Hope we hear something soon.guyindfw wrote:How can one know when 2nd review starts? I was in committee 2/23 and updated 3/2.nkra wrote:Me too. Just got a letter about the Emery Scholarship, although this one said I had been awarded $19500 instead of $19000. Bumping the money up $500 is not going to be enough, SCU.

Oh geez. You've been in review one month. Try IC since September with an EA deferral and another IC after that.lsatextreme wrote:sigh my application must have fallen behind a cabinet or primed for rejection already...I've been IC 2/1 and it seems like people are seeing changes
