Wow! That's quite a gap. Did you apply EA or RD? I applied EA on 9/2 and went complete on 9/15
You had to select the EA app if you applied electronically through LSAC.florentine wrote:gokickrocks wrote:kendraston wrote:3.38/167

Wow thats fast! As far as EA I didn't think you had to apply to it... As long as they get your app complete by Nov. 30 then you are automatically considered... Correct me if I'm wrong.

That's what I did. Hopefully I hear from them soon. If I get in, I'll be able to save money by living with my parents.adonai wrote:You had to select the EA app if you applied electronically through LSAC.florentine wrote:gokickrocks wrote:kendraston wrote:3.38/167

It certainly does and its funny because I was just researching IP Law at SCU and was wondering I know for patents you need a sci or engineering background but for copyright and trademark you don't right? So if you don't have that background will they still let you go in for trademark or something?jarofsoup wrote:So they have this under IP at Santa Clara:
HTLC, Corporate Specialization
Intellectual Property (3 units)
Venture Capital (3 units) or Legal Issues of Start-up Businesses (3 units)
Securities Regulation (3 units)
6 elective units of HTLC-designated courses
This seems super interesting to me. Is it like the corporate side of IP?
Seems perfect for someone with out a sci background.
You need science background to take the patent bar. There is like music and entertainment, copy right etc. you dont.florentine wrote:It certainly does and its funny because I was just researching IP Law at SCU and was wondering I know for patents you need a sci or engineering background but for copyright and trademark you don't right? myenigmamachine wrote:Hey all,
Well, I just applied early action to Santa Clara law. It's by far my first choice as it's local and I want to practice patent law (SCU has a good IP program). I am graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a Computer Science: Computer game design major and a minor in Astrophysics. I have a GPA of 3.39. I just heard back from LSAC a week ago and got a 158 on the October 2010 LSAT. I've worked 16hr/week through most of undergrad and interned at NASA. I submitted what I think is a strong personal statement, 3 strong letters of recommendation, and 1 evaluation. I'm of hispanic and Caucasian descent (ticked both boxes). My dad went to Santa Clara as well so I was able to put that on the app. Anyway, just wondering if any past admits to Santa Clara or anyone else who cares to weigh in has any idea what my chances for admission are. I don't think I can raise my LSAT much as I studied my ass off for October and 158 matched my high score in pre-testing (damn you logic games!). So, what's everyone think... yes or no? Anyone have similar stats?
If it's alright what's your numbers?adonai wrote:Deferral to Regular Admissions. I guess I can forget about this school/thread until next May.
