Chris, I am still waiting on a response from Iowa as well! And I was even an undergrad there!... Jerks. I guess taking the December test wasn't the best idea?

So the letter you just got two weeks ago... did that include a scholarship offer?

I don't see what the big deal is... just offer me the chance to study at your school for free and everything will be "hunky-dory," yes? YES.

Lol. I think that all TLS'ers should go to school for free, no matter where they go. At least everyone ITT... But if that were the case, I'm pretty sure EVERYONE would go to CU, because it rocks.

PS - The buffs knocked my alma matter out of the big 12 tournament. Now that we're out, I'm pulling for the buffs to take the championship... Might as well peace out of the big 12 with a bang!

I'm guessing that as a crazy old person you have more than 5k in your bank account?

Heyo...March 31st is a state holiday in California (Cesar Chavez Day). I'm now seriously considering the April 1 ASD since I'd just need one day off from work. Who else is planning to go?

I think half of this thread isn't even attending with scholarships. :-/

Although, there has to be quite a few in the class who do attend on stickers since that is the nature of the beast.

+1 with a 172/3.5. Very disappointed. Trying to decide if I should try to negotiate or just withdraw.

Absolute terrible offers for your #'s. Enjoy the T14 you two.

I know a few well qualified applicants anxious to get the chance to attend CU law at sticker. I view it as a lifestyle choice. There are only a few places in the country that attract young healthy motivated professionals.
Colorado is less costly at sticker than the top 25 or so law schools. CU law accepts about 1 in 4 applicants because so many think in terms of lifestyle over indentured servitude.

+1 I'm considering several T2 schools (Loyola and L&C) over 25k/year at WUSTL for these reasons

I'm beginning to fear that I won't be receiving any scholarship money..is it silly to be willing to pay sticker price (first year out of state, second and third year in state)?

+1. I think some say yes, some say no as far as sticker. We all know Colorado is a special place, but is it a down payment on a million dollar home special?

I am considering it as well. Though if UNC offers any $$, it would be difficult to turn it down for CU. Still, CU is definitely cheaper than some of my other options. Plus I loved it.

For those thinking of attending at sticker, would you consider a full or half scholarship at DU over sticker at CU? Interested in your responses for my own personal situation.

LOL, I was probably a little dumb in NOT applying to DU as well. I am not sure - what are the stipulations on the scholarships for DU?

The stipulation at Loyola is precisely why I probably won't end up there. If it was 50% I would probably go, but top 1/3 is fairly difficult IMO.

DU's stip is typically a 3.0 gpa, or top half. I got $25k a year at DU, and it's getting to look more and more like CU either won't give me anything or enough to pull me from that offer. I have enough connections in the Denver market that I can most likely do okay without the prestige of CU after graduation.

I got $75,000 at DU and $20,000 at CU, and I've decided on.... CU!! Just my two cents. Not sure it's completely the correct financial decision, and I think DU is great, but I really, really love CU.

And it's kinda official! I just signed a lease for an apartment in Boulder!!

I haven't even heard back from CU.. so... but unless they come up with a really nice offer I will go to Mich or Chicago or DU on a full.

My heart is in CU, but I think DU would still give me enough of that mountain experience during the winter.

:D

I just decided that it's going to be the degree and the professors and alum that I'm associated with for the rest of my life... And CU just felt so right for me. Plus, in-state tuition after 1L is much cheaper than a lot of it's rivals... And if I'm going to go to a regional school, I want it to be in Colorado. And furthermore, in Boulder.

Did you use a real estate agent? I'm trying to figure out how I should go about my apartment hunt/relocation from NYC
