Anyone apply to the JD/MA Program. I'm wondering if it will take longer for the two committees to review my application.

Normally you will get two separate decisions. What MA program did you apply to?

I was accepted with a 3.99 and a 155. I did ED, but I was so shocked that I got in with my numbers I nearly fainted while I was checking my status at work haha. I guess all those years of working full time, getting straight A's and being a vigil volunteer with hospice helped over-ride how crappy I am at taking the LSAT.

sorry I'm new to this whole process what does YP mean? also congrats to all who got in I submitted my App on the 1st but chances are not looking good for me, the only thing i got going for me is my Softs and GPA. I went to visit the school on Friday they said a big bulk of their admissions letters go out around January with other going in February and March (hopefully no one has to wait that long) I also saw on this website they released a big chunk on letters around December, I hope they do that!

YP means yield protection. Law schools want as high a percentage of their admits to actually enroll, so some schools try to admit people they know are very likely to enroll. They waitlist those that have numbers way above their medians because these people are likely to enroll elsewhere. In short, schools want to yield the most enrollments as is possible out of their offers. AU is known for abusing this.

I applied 10/30, went complete a few days later and received my acceptance this past monday. It took about 2 weeks roughly. They're awesome when it comes to getting decisions out.

Don't count on that. I went to undergrad at GW and American isn't known for its quality as much as quantity throughout the school. But there are a ton of hot girls in DC overall.

Me too. Right now, American is my #1 safety choice. But if I get into at least one of my top choices - I will definitely not be going to American.

The high price of American does not sit well with me - it is why I primarily applied to all state schools.

Thanks tea. I submitted October tenth and went complete November 10th. I got my e mail notification November 15th.

I'm feeling like a YP wait list is coming my way. I submitted on 10/28 and I"m 3.4x/170. On LSN, almost everyone with my numbers got WL. I really hate YP.
