I applied for PIPS (serious long shot) and got the 10k scholarship via email today.
Do you think that means you are out of the running for the PIPS if they offered you another scholarship? Do you think that means I am still in the running if I didn't recieve anything? Or, do you think this all means nothing? We're all in the habit of reading into EVERYTHING. Also, why a long shot for the PIPS?
I think they're completely unrelated, since it seems the PIPS committee is separate from everything else and hasn't sent out decisions yet, to my knowledge. But in the case that they are related, it's probably good sign that you didn't get a scholarship email!
And I think I'm a long shot because although I do have 75 percentile LSAT/GPA and some decent public service internship experience, I'm going straight to law school from undergrad and it seems that all the past PIPS recipients are Peace Corps or have other significant post-grad experience. Who really knows though?

In the scholarship emails they stated that those given the PIPS scholarship would have to forfeit the normal scholarship.

Thank you! I took it myself but must give credit to my bf for the concept. If you want a high-res version, I can send it to you to frame.

Do you guys think that they will be sending out more scholarship offers? I really don't see myself attending unless I get a scholarship. I already signed up for the April 1st ASD, but now I'm wondering if I should even go to that if I don't get a scholly offer.

Will $5k or $10k really make a difference? You still have $115-120k of tuition to cover...

I guess it's not enough to change my mind either way, you're right.

Also, most annoyingly, if you want to accept the scholarship, you must do so by 5 PM EST on April 1st and pay $900 non-refundable. That's shitty when most other schools seat deposits aren't due till April 15th or May 1st and some ASDs aren't until after April 1st.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
