Loyola Chicago

Post by Capitol A » Sat Oct 30, 2010 12:44 pm

Anyone?
Applied 10/1. Complete 10/15. When I visited they told me they don't start looking at apps until mid November, so no decisions until at least December. I'm still excited to hear back. Their facility is gorgeous, if you like the urban campus.

I haven't submitted yet but plan on it tomorrow. I was able to visit their facility around this time last year and loved it - Loyola quickly jumped to the top of my list.

Submitted, and complete as of last week or so. Have spent time in Chicago, so hoping for some love from my safety school who got a heartfelt Why Loyola essay out of me.

I guess you could say LUC is a "safety" for me as well, but i almost feel funny saying that because i would be thrilled to go there. There's a good chance i will attend no matter where else i am admitted.

Submitted, LSAC sent CAS report, but status checker still says incomplete. I am sure they are chugging through piles of apps. Patience is a virtue. If we can't wait now, what will we do in school when we have to wait all semester to take a test and receive a grade?

Most of my other apps went complete Monday when my second LSAT score came in. No movement from Loyola though. Anyone else in the same boat?

Submitted on 10/1 complete as of 10/13 nothing since. Hopefully we will hear something soon but it looks like according to last years thread and LSN the second week of December is much more likely.

My stats are 3.1/163 with decent softs. Non-URM. What do people here believe are my chances as I would like to practice in Chicago/Midwest.

You LSAT is above their 75th, so obviously you have a great chance.
To the people waiting on decisions/worried about status checkers...I visited LUC, and they told me that the earliest they have ever started reading apps was mid November. So best to be patient at this point, its going to be a while.

I got my completion e-mail yesterday (11/5). I loved this part: "Since your file was complete prior to January 15, you will receive a decision letter by February 15." I'm hoping they are just covering their bases with that estimate...

Mine's been application received since I submitted (10/31, received email 11/02), but it's a bit soon for me to worry. I suppose this is a "safety" for me too (in that I might get YP'ed), but I'm rather unorthodox in my ranking of school choices since I don't want biglaw. It would be #2 on my list with the right amount of $$ since they have the perfect program for me.

Yes I am also applying to Depaul, Kent, and Marquette! How long did it take for your applications to go complete?

Man, submitted 10/14, LSAT score is in, still "Application received." When do I can to inquire? I'm thinking Monday. Yeah, Monday.

About an hour after that post I got an e-mail from Loyola. That's not eerie at all. Anyway, turns out I need to explain my four-point jump in LSAT score, and then I should be good to go. Very exciting stuff.

Just got the same email on Friday, and another email today saying they have added my explanation to my file.

According to LSN numbers from last year, we should be getting the first wave of acceptances at the end of next week or early the week after that.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
