I've been complete since 10/25. I'm not interested in Sports Law, I'm more interested in their European Legal Studies specialization.. but who knows, I've got to get in first!

I've been complete since 10/25. They're adding a few law/international development offerings in the next few years that sound pretty cool. The new dean for the Payson Center (for International Development, a part of Tulane Law) is going to teach a few classes.ilovesf wrote:I've been complete since 10/25. Oh cool! I read about the Payson Center online, though I was not sure about how it relates to the law students.. it looked to me like a separate MA/PhD program or something.. it sounds pretty interesting though, I look forward to hearing more about it.mcubberly wrote: I've been complete since 10/25. The Payson Center has an undergrad/MA/Phd program, but in some reorganization they got thrown into Tulane Law. They offer a joint MA for law students, but they haven't really done much with the law school so far. The old dean, Eammon Kelly, focused on more international development stuff and didn't teach at the law school or offer law-related classes at Payson.
The new dean went to Harvard Law and has worked specifically in law and international development, so I think he plans to teach a few courses at the law school about it outside of the MA program, as well as teaching more law-related courses on the MA side. It sounds pretty cool. If I end up at Tulane I'd definitely take some of his classes.

I got an acceptance e-mail today. They said I would receive my acceptance package and scholarship award via snail mail. I won't be back home until after Thanksgiving, so I won't know how much it is for a little while.
