Tulane 2011
In with scholarship offer via snail mail! Status checker updated to "complete" a few days ago, still says complete. Anyone else hear back already?
P.S. The letter came in a small white envelope.

Re: Tulane 2011
I was not originally going to apply here, as I did not think my chances were good; however, I received a fee waiver from them a week ago and decided what the heck. I'm currently working on their personalized questions. So I should be joining the waiting game by Monday.

170/3.7x- above both 75ths. I applied early October. I was definitely not expecting to hear back this early.
Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Jakel, I wouldn't worry so much if I were you. The OP got in so early because he or she is an incredibly strong candidate, but the fact is, Tulane is not going to be his or her ultimate landing spot.
As long as you haven't been rejected, you've got a shot. I know it's easier said than done, but relax.

Anybody know how splitter-friendly Tulane is? Just sent in my app this morning.

Haha, yeah I was looking at that graph earlier this morning. Didn't know if it indicated "splitter-friendly" so much as just "we love you for who you are"

Whoa just saw this now. Congrats OP. I applied the last week of September and have been complete since 10/1. Really like Tulane so I would love to see something come through from them soon here.

I've been complete to Tulane since 10/13. It seems people with my scores are pretty hit or miss according to LSN. We'll see how it turns out. Good luck everyone, and congrats leopard!

Congrats, leopard! Quick question - after your application went complete and you received your acceptance, did anything in the "Fees" box change? Did they update the due dates of the deposits or anything after you were accepted?

Re: Tulane 2011
Thanks! My status still says "File Complete" with a date of 10/25. It never said under review or anything. There's a 1st and 2nd deposit listed under fees, but I want to say that's always been there.ccoons24 wrote:Congrats, leopard! Good luck to everyone still waiting! Hopefully they'll start sending out more acceptances soon and we can all start planning the debauchery to occur over ASW

Re: Tulane 2011
Just saw this thread - also accepted with scholarship last month, around 10/14 I believe. Very excited as Tulane is my top choice! Now if only the "official acceptance packet" would arrive with my admitted student's username and password...

Re: Tulane 2011
I applied 10/24 and am hoping for a quick turnaround! Tulane is my undergrad, and I've gone to see the admissions people (who are really nice) a few times. The law school is nice, and it has a pretty laid-back atmosphere. If anyone has any questions about campus, etc feel free to ask.

Re: Tulane 2011
I got a letter and scholarship offer from Tulane about 2 weeks ago also. I applied mainly to appease my husband who loves Saints Football. I've got little kids, so I'm not sure how I feel about New Orleans public schools, and there's no way we've got the income to put me through law school and put our kids through private school, but we'll see. The scholarship offer was significant, so maybe.

Re: Tulane 2011
Hmm, well, I might have to look into that. My husband is an educator who prefers working with tougher kids, so he'd love New Orleans public school system, I'm sure.mcubberly wrote:Some of the charter schools are pretty nice.rupret1 wrote:I got a letter and scholarship offer from Tulane about 2 weeks ago also. Re: Tulane 2011
Congratulations to all of you that have heard back good news already!
Tulane is my top choice. I'm currently a teacher in Louisiana and want to stay here for law school. I applied when I was in undergrad (very late, end of February) and my application didn't get read until after the first year seat deposit was due, so I just got a waitlist. I'm really hoping for better news this time around! My file has been complete since 10/13!

All these really early acceptances are making me nervous and I guess it means the status checker is pretty pointless?
