Re: DePaul Law School 2014
Those of you in with money are you URM? What are your stats?
I'm 162 out of state 3.6 and most of research shows I should be able to get into DePaul but I'm curious if I'll get offered anything!
P.S. I'm a white girl from Orange County so most surely NOT URM

171, 2.94, non-URM, out of state (which I don't think matters at all). In with $18k a year.

Re: DePaul Law School 2014
Yah I know it doesn't matter for the money offered and at a private it doesn't matter for the money paid but at the state schools I'm applying to that in-state thing makes me pay a lot more money. and being from CA our in-state fees are almost the SAME as out of state at places like CU-Boulder.

@yepyep: sorry about your luck, i've been out of school for a few years, so i'm guessing that helped.
has anyone else had delays in receiving their acceptance letter via snail mail? i live in chicago, only ~15 minutes from the school. i was wondering if this was typical or if maybe mine was lost somewhere in the system.
thanks!

I also have not received it. I saw on my caller ID that they rang this morning, but did not leave a message. Wonder what that was about?pauwelsd wrote: has anyone else had delays in receiving their acceptance letter via snail mail? i live in chicago, only ~15 minutes from the school. i was wondering if this was typical or if maybe mine was lost somewhere in the system.

Yup, I was admitted on the 6th and haven't received anything yet. I'm a couple of miles away from campus too.pauwelsd wrote:@yepyep: sorry about your luck, i've been out of school for a few years, so i'm guessing that helped.

I received an e-mail from a Legal Writing Prof a few days after my acceptance, I figured the mail wouldn't take more than a day or two...i'm waiting on pins and needles.

I don't recall the specifics now, but I do remember that it took longer than I expected to receive my letter (I live in northern Illinois).

I'll be withdrawing from Depaul soon. Good luck to those who are accepted and those waiting to attend here. I'll miss Chicago, but have gotten better, less difficult financial offers. Good luck all.

ArghItsBlarg,
I haven't written an official LOCI yet, but I did fill out that "still interested in being waitlisted" form. I'm going to write the letter & send it this week. I'm also going to be in Chicago next weekend so I'm going to the Open House that Saturday. Hopefully that will help me a little bit. Probably not, but it's worth a try I suppose.

We have the EXACT same stats, except I'm a white girl from Missouri, and I got in with $25k/year and haven't tried to leverage any offers yet (it's the lowest ranked school I applied to.) Good luck!lilcalisunshine wrote:Those of you in with money are you URM? What are your stats?

Re: DePaul Law School 2014
Can anyone who has been to both DePaul and Loyola talk about the differences? I have heard the facilities are awful at DePaul, and if it comes down to those two for me, I'd like to have a little better information about the differences between the two.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
