Accepted. Probably will not attend, but I'm eager to see what kind of scholly is offered. If its full, or near full, I will definitely consider. With regards to placement in Chicago, between Loyola, Depaul, and Chicago-Kent who holds the upper hand.

It depends on money. I'm FL resident and it would be a lot cheaper to attend a state school but I'm just waiting to see how scholarships play out.

DR 2/7 and accepted 2/7 via email.
Numbers in profile. Hoping to get offered a decent scholarship with the high COL at DePaul.
Do they send the scholarship offers in the mail?
Anyone have any idea what kind of scholarship I could expect with my numbers?

I got my packet in the mail today. 48k for PT, so 12k per year. It makes the tuition very affordable, but I'm upset because I really should have applied full time. I'm pretty skeptical about going PT. Yeah, I'm an idiot...

Sounds right. I got the same money with higher LSAT/lower GPA.miazdc wrote:I got 18/year with a 163/3.3beidoun wrote:Anyone have any idea what kind of scholarship I could expect with my numbers?
A higher-ranked school offered me a lot more money today. Gave me a little more hope for my cycle.

I got $18k/year with a 171/2.95. WUSTL gave me $20k/year. Yeah, I'm going to withdraw.

Nice DePaul T-shirt in the mail today. "DePaul College of Law" in sort of a Brooklyn Dodger style of writing. I'm skinny though, so its kind of big.

In yesterday via email. Complete on January 31. Any idea what kind of scholarship $ (if any) I can expect with my numbers? 3.0/161 with 3 Years of work experience.

If you're full time I bet they come close to the 18k number a few people got. I got 12 for PT with a slightly higher LSAT and far worse GPA.Murray wrote:In yesterday via email. Re: DePaul Law School 2014
Just FYI, I called the admissions office to ask about a stipend for traveling to an ASW or just to visit the law school (coming from California it can get pretty expensive!) and the woman I spoke with told me that DePaul does NOT offer any sort of travel stipend.

I got 20k a year with 8 years military experience and 3.17/161. So, I'd say anywhere from 18-20k like others have stated. Good luck.Murray wrote:In yesterday via email. Complete on January 31. Re: DePaul Law School 2014
I did last month and the location is pretty fantastic, right in the loop. The facilities are a bit dated but nice nonetheless and there seems to be a movement to upgrade things. I felt right at home which is factoring in to my decision process quite nicely.mora6577 wrote:Congrats to all my fellow admits! Has anyone visited the campus yet? What did you think?
If you guys/gals have the opportunity to take a tour, I would suggest it. The asst admissions people sit everyone down in a conference room beforehand and you chat for about an hour and it is directed by the visitors. Very informative if you ask me and I haven't gotten that treatment from any other school I've been to thus far. Budget 2+ hours for it if you go..... its worth it though.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
