If it came easily, maybe you wouldn't have been held? I think they are impressed with your credentials, just not convinced by your desire to attend.

I got WL'ed last Friday. Anyone who got WL planning on staying on it?

I want to stay on, but I have to send updated transcripts to LSAC. How do they know when to get the transcripts through LSAC?

I know all the reasons I want to go there, I tell everyone all of them all the time. I'm just trying not to sound like a complete mushy doofus.

You should read mine  Although I am already here so maybe it's allowed to be mushy?

Fine I'll bring a little mush. It's hard to balance all the academic and factual reasons with my love for the environment and vibe of the school, along with my love for the city of Philadelphia.

Throw it together, there is no need to balance. If you genuinely love Philly and can genuinely express it, then it will be a big plus.

Me too. I'm staying on in the slim hope it will mean not having to move away from my family and SO. I don't know about transcripts though, I think it said something about it in the email but I'm out of school so I didn't pay much attention.

After re-reading my LOCI, I am so embarrassed. It was too "mushy"--almost waxing poetic (about architecture? Trees? What?) . . . bordering on art/literature optional essay redux.

Penn only does decisions on Fridays.

Same here, you and I have similar numbers (you're +1 LSAT -.1 GPA to me), so no surprise there.

I got a Penn admissions letter and faculty view book today and I got my portfolio yesterday. Should I take these two packages without financial merit information to mean that I'm not getting anything?

I don't think so - merit aid has yet to be sent out although invites for named scholarships are already out!

I'm UCR 1/26- is there any chance that (if I'm admitted) I can still get a scholarship invite? (I believe all TFA automatically get it, not trying to assume I'd get it- but idk if I'm too late)

No. Scholly invites are via email on a rolling basis, so if you just got accepted or will be accepted in the near future you may still get one. There are also unnamed schollies that will be coming in a few weeks.

No. Penn isn't one of the schools that you can guess your decision based on movement or lack thereof. Once you've had two review dates you may get a decision any Friday after that. It might be right away, or it could take forever. How long it takes does not determine what the decision will be.

I got my second UR review date!

1/26-->2/9 (I'm hoping this is good luck as it's my best friend's birthday. Or you know, whatever).

Anyway, time for me to join the hoards of people freaking out on Fridays. :)

Being left behind sucks.
