They haven't been shy about handing out all kinds of responses today so you probably just aren't in this batch.

OMG. I just found out I missed a call from the admissions office. No voice message left though.

Do they do waitlists/rejections by phone too? Or are phone calls typically a good thing?

I haven't heard of a rejection phone call yet. If it is I'm sure it sounds just like Lumbergh from Office Space.

Oh goodness, thank you so much! Should I call them back just to make sure though? I thought their office closed by 5, but it looks like the call came around 15 minutes after 5. Just seems kind of strange that there would be no voice message.

I guess I avoided the massive slaughter. UCR dates of 12/23 and 1/3 and still crickets from Penn.

Do you think they'll crank out more decisions on Monday?

IN!!!

Missed a call, but they left a voicemail letting me know that I had been admitted. Call came just before 5pm Eastern. I was UCR 12/23 -> 1/3, and I think I wrote 2 essays (including a 5-year plan).

Finally got up the courage to check my email...nothing. I'm a 1/5 though so they might have just not got to me yet. Everyone in my group who heard today got dinged, so I don't know if there are more of those coming or if I'm getting a WL/acceptance. Crossing my fingers for a phone call next week, but right now I'm just grateful to have survived today.

Also in today via phone call, just did not see the voicemail on my phone. I think after I am done drinking and celebrating over the weekend, I will personally go over to the Sprint store and strangle the guy who sold me this crappy phone which does not list voicemail automatically when they appear.

I'm at work.. But I was actually on TLS reading this thread. Then my phone starts flashing. 215 area code? hmm.. I type it in the google search bar. Pennsylvania.

I couldn't answer, but they left a great message. Good luck to everyone else still waiting. Maybe they'll make more calls before 7:00!

Edit: Submitted mid-November. Complete 12/14. Under review 1/3 (I think that was the second date, but I can't remember for sure.. so many status checkers..)

+1, although I definitely know I'm not getting a call today. Sent in a revised addendum over break and haven't changed from my first UCR (12/23) yet.
