I am hoping Penn will think I am a special enough snowflake to accept my median LSAT and just below median GPA, preferably sometime this month. I'm thinking they will either read my essays and accept me, or laugh at how outlandish they were and take great pleasure in waitlisting/rejecting me.

I wonder what the percentage of early acceptances are TLS users versus the general applicant pool? Considering so many of us feel like submitting past mid-October is inexcusably late haha

i can't stand it anymore - all this waiting is too much
3 months is a quarter of a year - an entire season!

And you have been dominating thus far. Yay for hope for 12/14 (although you could be YP for Penn, considering that full scholly to UVA). I'm definitely jealous.

Do you have a top choice so far, or are you waiting to see what the best offer is when all is said and done?
I doubt it would be YP lol I'm close to both medians. You're also above LSAT/at GPA. I vote that we squash this 12/14 vs. 12/15 debate and agree that we'll all fare well. Deal?

Also I'll be waiting till I have options laid out in front of me before I decide!
Agreed. It seems like there are people from both groups that are in good shape.

I'm just looking for whatever I can to manage the disappointment, which I feel is appropriate since my GPA is significantly below the median at Penn.

i went UCR for the first time 12/15, and it just updated again to 12/16, is this unusual for the updates to happen so close to each other, I'm getting kinda nervous, I didn't think I'd get a decision before the holiday, any thoughts???

My only thought is that they want to get some RD decisions out before Christmas. They already decided on the group that's been UR since November, so they may be rushing through a few of the more auto-admit numbers so they can call some more admits next week.

Wild speculatory post is wildly speculatory.

And when patience is gone? Insanity. And speculation. There is always speculation to feed upon.

Bleh, I imagine they're trying to release the decisions in large batches, there's no other explanation for it.

Didn't someone mention that they called and the office stated the first batch of decisions would be out early next week? If someone calls and confirms... they would be god on this thread for the day.

Their "insight of the week" on the Penn admissions page says that RD decisions will begin to be released prior to December 22nd, making next Tuesday the latest possible day. I am not sure if anyone has already called though.

If they knew exactly which date they want to release on, or they would have worded it like the ED decisions (not before 12/xx). I think they don't have definite plans, although they know they will release them before the break.

So any minute now...

Well, here's to hoping they don't wait till the last hour on the last possible day... :?

Not to get everyone overexcited, but I'm pretty sure that happened last year when they were making calls (though the two might be unrelated, it would make sense to block incoming calls as they're busy using all the lines to make outgoing ones?) :)

ETA: but i suppose lunch is more plausible haha

I think also they started making calls during lunch last year? Meaning that, again, the correlation is lunch, not calls. please let it be that they are dialing my number right now

Yeah but isn't lunch suppose to go from 12-1. Unless people in Philly do it different.

3 business days = 5 actual days. Long time, long time. Suggestions for self-distraction? (Other than binge drinking?)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
